Hey guys, in this video, I’ll be ranking every credit card I’ve ever been approved for, from S-Tier to D-Tier, based on how much value I actually get from them, how often I use them, and how they fit my lifestyle. While your rankings might look completely different even if you have the same cards, I wanted to base this tier list purely on my personal experience so you can see how I value each card at my current stage in the credit card game. You’ll see how things like welcome offers, earning categories, transfer partners, and perks like lounge access and hotel status all impact my rankings. I’m someone on team travel and focus my applications on transferable currency cards from the big five issuers: Chase, Amex, Capital One, Citi, and Bilt. By the end, you’ll know which cards I plan to keep, which ones I’ll cut, and which might make the most sense for your setup.
What are your thoughts on how much rent you pay being available to credit reporting when using the BILT cards?

Don’t be biased against Venture X by not mentioning the duo with Savor- Now if you don’t know Venture X stand alone is A but duo is S. No point in having a Venture X without a Savor to transfer cash to miles. Best for traveling

How can you be taken seriously, when your S tier cards are the ones you're most likely to cancel after a year or 2
00:54 Chase Freedom Student
01:56 OG Chase Freedom
The logic in this s tier thing makes no sense. Who spends $850 in ONE hotel night? Thats a very inflated value and most people would not value 1 night at a hotel at 850
03:03 Chase Freedom Unlimited
04:08 Chase Sapphire Preferred
These tiers would be totally different for me, it totally depends on which perks you use or don't use
05:20 Chase Sapphire Reserve
06:47 How To Manage Multiple Credit Cards
"Travel and retail protections" is an interesting thing to mention for credits. Especially when that's such a common feature of travel cards and so hard to place a monetary value on. If things happen to you they kick in but if not then they don't.
08:08 Citi Custom Cash
09:50 Amex Gold
OG Chase Freedom Data Point: (11/09/2025) Successfully product changed to the OG Freedom (Freedom with Ultimate Rewards) from the Sapphire Preferred.
11:08 Amex Blue Business Plus
12:23 Chase Ink Cash
Is Marriot Boundless 125k and 1 bonus night deal to jump on or wait for the 5 night one again whats your thoughts?
13:27 Capital One Venture X
15:04 Amex Amazon Business Prime
Donna VERSACE 💜
16:17 Marriott Bonvoy Boundless
17:48 Ritz-Carlton Card
I just PC my Freedom unlimited into the OG Chase Freedom with ultimate rewards about two days ago. I think it is still available
19:30 Chase Ink Unlimited
20:11 Bilt Mastercard
Thanks Spencer for this review. I did product change my CSP to a Freedom (Visa). Had to call 2x and ask specifically for the “Chase Freedom with Ultimate Rewards” and not the Chase Freedom Flex or Unlimited. Once I got the right agent, it was super fast/easy. I was also looking for a credit card binder for my “stack” and remembered you had a secondary wallet. Do you have a link to that on Amazon or other retailer?
21:48 Amex Business Gold
22:56 Citi Strata Premier
Doesn't matter how much chase hits people over the head. They'll always say "chase is the best" smh
24:01 Chase Ink Preferred
25:33 Southwest Performance Business
The Citi magnificent 5 is the way to go now. You can choose 3 categories and get 5x back on each. Then 3x back on whatever else with the Citi strata. It’s the most elite setup and no other set comes close. Amex is pretty much useless to me now since I can’t transfer my Amex points into Alaska points with the Hawaiian partnership ending. Atleast with city American Airlines and Alaska are under the same umbrella of partners.
26:38 Southwest Priority
27:46 Alaska Business
You should do a video about cards that are great for gig workers that have gas perks fast food perks etc
29:08 Hawaiian Business
30:13 Chase Ink Premier
I think the custom card is a very popular dining card but needs a higher limit than 500. I always switch to my other ccc when I’m close to my limit. If I need UR pts I’ll use my CSP.

Spencer why don’t you have the capital one savor and Amex platinum? Also why no mention of Bank of America cards
#bestcreditcards #rankingcreditcards #creditcards
Not ranking the VX as S tier is crazyyyyy… it’s definitely a premium card given the top tier travel protections, purchase protections, best portal pricing of any issuer and thus great multipliers, transfer partner access, premium lounges and PP, etc
More User Perspectives
Three cards I’m suprised to see not mentioned are the Chase Freedom Flex for the “trifecta”, the Citi Double Cashback and the Capital One Savor! Very interesting.
@kylesatterfield7095Thinking of downgrading my VX and using my RC as my main travel card because I have a Quicksilver (and Savor) and can't see anything I'm losing except 0.5x and a $395 AF. I have other 2x no AF cards
@ImagineWrongchase Business cash needs to be ranked higher as it's added 5% bonus for internet, cable, and phone services (even if you don't play the office store game) is legit
@basmo6803If you had the Amex platinum where do you think it would fit here?
@cadenoverall8034I have to disagree with you that the VX is not a true premium travel card. Yes, you don't get as many credits as you do with the CSR or AmEx Platinum, but for both of those cards, a lot of the credits you are given have nothing to do with travel. Lululemon, Resy, Doordash, Peloton, Stubhub, streaming services, etc. Sure there are travel credits $300 for CSR, Edit Collection credit, FHR credit, Airline credit, but the overall money back is highly inflated by the lifestyle credits.
So I think the VX is a premium travel card, while the CSR and AmEx Platinum are going towards premium lifestyle cards.
I'd put Rakuten credit card at S tier if the rumor of transfer to BILT turn out to be true
@pannawatphijarnwanit6306Hey spencer I finally got with Chase After getting out of Chase jail 5/24 bail out got the preferred card it’s a start to the Reserve now working Ink cards no A/F cards
@Anthonyjones-pq4ffThe best part about the Chase OG Freedom, is that its a VISA card instead of a Mastercard. That way you can use it at Costco when the category is Gas.
@Cristian145Unrelated to this video but I product switched my CSP to the OG freedom this morning so I could get the CSR + the welcome bonus next week.
So yes you can still get it. Guess it's cool that I now have 5% on the $3k on those rotating categories that I almost never use. I only have the CFF for the cell phone insurance since I'm a frequent traveler anyway
I’m curious about the Ink Cash. Did you not pay your phone bill and WiFi with it for 5x back? Or the 5x on streaming services?
@dream_chaser5879I did a PC from CSP to the OG Freedom yesterday so it’s def still available
@thee_jppCredit card travel game is like investing. Everyone things their way is best but the like investing, it's all personal preference and what one is comfortable with.
@LuigiFan1305It seems like you get the airline cards for SUB only. I wonder which airline card will make it to S-tier in the future.
Just found out Chase has the Freedom Rise now. Kinda takes me back to when I got my first Freedom Unlimited and everything was 1.5%
so he does not have the amex plat?
@JuanTorres-nx1cdIve been using the poor mans capital one duo and the citi strata elite seems to be a good set up for me i do have a prime card ill use that for a free hotel
@SteelCityTVEnjoyed the video, Spencer! Cool to see all your cards that has taken you through your credit card journey! I’ve learned a lot from your channel. Keep up the good work, bro!
@MikeJones-jr6wpSpencer if you get Amex's checking account that holds Member reward points, so even if you closed all the CC you could still keep the points and have access to transfer partners
@21jpmmHey Spencer quick question, I currently hold the Amex trifecta but was wondering if I ever cancel the gold and platinum will I still have transfer partner access through the BBP only? I believe you must hold a charge card too to have that access right?
@ragr8446I’m so glad you mentioned that the credit card game is a highly personal thing! People watch you guys on YouTube and think that whatever you say is gospel, but it’s really not. Thx for all the great vids, Spencer! I always appreciate your attention to detail and straightforwardness. 💯💯💯😎😎😎
@flubberghosted2472Why don’t you ever talk about Bank of America cards? It’s always the same stuff.
@Redhood-p5hHas bro really never gotten the Savor One???
@marcussssss2848Great video but I’ll be contrarian in that I think the venture x is maybe the best card. I am a solo traveler but I’d have no issues having P2 get their own. A slight bummer for kids but not THAT big of a deal. 300 travel credit and 10k pts it still pays for itself before even using anything else. It is probably my fav travel portal and def my fav lounges of United, delta and even Amex (I don’t have chase but would only use it at Philly occasionally and I can just use Amex there) the grab and go and the à la carte items are the best of the lounges, they are also at the airports I most frequent. I don’t put crazy spend on it, but I still get crazy value.
@pappy924Product changed a freedom unlimited to OG freedom a couple weeks ago, so still possible with the right CSR.
@SirDripertonSolid video!
@CommanderMango808Haven't got into any of the travel yet but looking forward to. Will look into that after job promotion in 6 months or so. Currently running:
Custom cash (5% dining)
Paypal debit (5% grocery)
Prime visa (5% amazon)
Kroger card (5% gas/misc)
Amex gold (just the credits)
Robinhood gold (3% catch all)
Looking at Bilt mastercard and Schwab debit card (ATM access) next
Love the love for Amex gold which I love so much
@madmattdThanks for the video Spencer. I have a question in regards the Ink Business Cash - it gives you 5x on internet, phone bills and office supplies (worse case you can buy gift cards). Can you please elaborate why in your case it doesn't make sense? And thanks once again.
@JorgeRodriguezPRDP: I product changed from the Flex over to the OG freedom on 10/11. The rep initially thought I was trying to PC to a Freedom Unlimited until I clarified that I want the, "Freedom with Ultimate Rewards Visa card."
