I like everything I hear in this video!! Do I need to listen to this again? Or will i get this?

— @Maria-jo6nn

Bad habits feel hard to break because they’re wired into the brain’s reward and identity systems. This video explains why willpower isn’t enough—and what actually works. Learn practical strategies to interrupt patterns, shift your mindset, and build lasting change.

Question on replacement - if the habit involves laying down, resting, but for too long or when I don’t have the time to, wondering what I could replace that activity with that my brain would accept as still restful but better? A comfy corner clothing change and low effort task?

The more I watch your videos Dr Tracey, I feel fear as these things you teach sort of feel like superpowers. I fear maybe I will find that I don't do them and I don't change in which as I write I realise it's part of that self-concept thing, so I will do these things I am excited to see where I will end up. It feels weird to say this.

This is video made me cry, like it really spoke to me I am trying my best not to give up but I keep falling over and over scared of life but now I feel like it’s different I have learned the patterns and for sure I am going to stop and be a better version of myself. Thank you so much!!

Many habits persist not because people are weak, but because the behaviors are tied to reward, relief, or identity in the brain.

Some may laugh at this kind of thing, but stopping a habit is so so difficult. I'm really fed up of mine. 2 days ago was "the last time" and that was "the last time" 20 times ago.

Thanks Dr. Mark's great information. The visuals and pace of your delivery made it so much more helpful and easier to understand. I grew up in a chaotic environment and I'm working to unlearn bad habits and create a better life for myself and family.

My worst habit is that I am playing a lot of 1 specific computer game. I quit it multiple times, but I always come back to it. My brain tells me something like: "You cant give this game up. You spent way to much time, while learning it or you are too good to quit it" ( I am top 0.8% in europe). Any tips how I can get out of this loop?
(I am not making money with it and I kinda dont even like playing it anymore, but if I have a bad day, I turn my pc on and use this game to ignore my feelings)
