That's why I called this species canis lupus and way more intelligent than ever before. For example, canis lupus may have dig holes for some good reasons like construct underground shelters to take over very well.

My grandparents had a huge German Shepherd, like a real one not the American German Shepherd that's used in the police. My grandma (I called her Omi, which is an endearing way of saying grandma, mainly by little kids), was German so that's probably one of the reasons they got her. The dog's name was Sandy and she was very protective of me because I was really young, which is why most of this story is based off of what I've been told. Anyway, my uncle brought over his pitbull he had at the time and let it into the fenced in area. Sandy was already watching but the moment he did that, his pitbull started running straight at me, whether to play or attack we don't know, and Sandy instantly got on top of me and then ran straight at him and tackled the pitbull to the ground. They fought for a minute but once my uncle and grandpa broke the fight up she apparently ran right back to me. I was 4 at the time. The memories I have of her are great, she was an amazing dog.

My parents had a Kerry Blue Terrier before either my sister or I was born. I was the walking disaster area type of toddler. My mother never let me out of her sight…. Unless Indy was there, then she could go do housework or cook without worrying. She told me that many times she would hear me complaining and come check and Indy would be standing between me and something breakable or dangerous. I remember one time I got ahold of a small glass figure. Indy “soft mouthed” my wrist and held me until my mom reacted to my startled yell. Mom didn’t even have to tell her to let go, she just did as soon as my mom reached for the figure.

My dog ​​is very inactive. I'm worried about his weight.

I was still a baby in a crib when my mum left the house to work on a daily basis. We lived in the house of my grandparents and their big GSD. When mum returned in the afternoon and tried to get my out of the crib the sheperd wouldn`t let her, barking an roaringb to her. My grandpa always had to step in and took his sheperd into the garden in order to give mum the opportunity to take me.

The family @ 3:00 are crazy if they are going to believe the baby's safe around an open pool. The baby falle in,you don't know "FOR ABSOLUTELY POSITIVE the dog can pull the baby out of the pool. Maybe, Maybe-NOT?!!!!

Our domestic beast served among other tasks as 100% reliable dog food powered cry alarm for my little sis in our yard when she napped in cradle under apple tree. One caugh or other sound other than steady breathing = 1 lower wuff. 10 seconds of sounds of displeasure = 2 louder wuffs, and so on.. He nearly ate postman who tried to come greet sis on her cradle by his own initiative, no one else of family being present. Luckily he was in looooooong 25 metres chain which stopped him couple metres short. Lucky postman. One year later that dog dragged his insane sized, double 2 by 4 walls, floor and ceiling, with insulation on middle, steel roofed, doghouse with window to backyard to middle of yard, just to show off. And the chain that saved postman was connected to that doghouse. I was in military and could not be there to wrestle with him. He really liked playfull greco roman wrestling. I always won by my weight.

Dogs seem to understand what is as pure in this world.
