I like this documentary. The kafala system doesnโt only apply to lower workers that if they do something bad, their sponsor can cancel it right away. It also applies to what you refer to as upper management class. The westerners. If the white class disobeyed the law, they will be out too. The law is law here which we really admire and respect.

I had the pleasure of working in Qatar during the world cup year and it was one of the best years of my life! Qatari people are absolutely amazing. They are warm, generous, friendly and more open minded than the world gives them credit. Would definitely move there again if I get the chance.

@ryanchira7912This documentary confirms my impression of Qatar. Frankly I find life in Qatar pretty grotesque. An autocracy trying (and sadly often succeeding) in whitewashing its image in the world while exploiting foreign laborers. The West should apply strong pressure on the Qatari government to improve conditions and salaries for foreign workers. I have no desire to ever visit Qatar or any of the Gulf Arab States, and would not want to support these economies in any way until significant political and economic reforms are implemented.

@pranavjagdishI'm Qatari, and I have high respect to our workers, everytime a delivery driver delivers my order I try to tip them, and when we go out for lunch and dinner and we have extra food we always give it out to them. They are hard working and Inshallah will live in a better place, the problem is some of the workers come with 0 money to their name so its so hard to live and not being able to afford a room, food. But in Qatar we have many free stuff to do and big flea markets so even if your poor you can still afford basic necessities easily, In fact im a college student to a university that you have to pay for and most of my classmates are sponsered by Qatar charity and they dont pay for the university fee and I find that really cool I have friends from Kenya kazakhastan and Bosnia, They sponsor these students who can't afford university and they live in qatar for the years they will study and they get free rent. Just wanted to point this out even if you dont have money doesnt mean you cant finish your education here in qatar

@giorgiotorre994I already know where this documentary is heading regarding foreign workers. Whenever the issue involves a Middle Eastern country, there are countless accusations and criticisms. Yet when similar or even worse situations occur in Western countries, the media often pays far less attention.
People frequently argue that visitors and workers should respect the local customs, laws, and sovereignty of the country they are in. If that principle applies universally, then it should be applied consistently, regardless of whether the country is in the Middle East, the West, or anywhere else.
There are many other issues happening in Western countries as well, yet they often receive far less media attention or coverage. Sometimes it feels as though certain stories are ignored while others are heavily amplified. If the media wants to be credible, it should apply the same level of scrutiny and reporting standards to all countries, regardless of where they are.
