I remember the HMS Illustrious in Malta. My father is a proud ex-Navy and when I saw that 'Royal Navy' caption, I felt emotional. I have a place in my heart for this service and hated to see a member of this force tarnishing its name. Besides, the undeserving pain to the families of the victims.

So tragic. ❤
@sdannecker6944The Navy should be keeping better track of its sailors. A missing sailor in Gibraltar should have warranted an investigation. Just saying, "oh well, i guess he's gone..." is ridiculous.
@peggyjones3282A lovely person. That animal should have been put down immediately. Sickos
@LamarMeans-w3ipoor simon :(
@saragarbo88They had CCTV in the 80's? Did i miss something?
@Dawn-we7vdThis Grimson murdered 3 children and still got parole. Disgusting insult to the victims families. So sad, these young men going missing. No real answers. My condolences to the surviving family members❤
@LoveGodandNeighbor-p1vMy dad (a proud Englishman) took my brother and I on to HMS Illustrious when it came to Sydney in October '86 for part of the Royal Australian Navy's 75th Anniversary celebration.
@MsMikeyttSomebody knows something

@garthwaiteglynis1669July 2025: the Parole Board said: “We can confirm that a panel of the Parole Board refused the release of Allan Grimson following a paper review. Parole Board decisions are solely focused on what risk a prisoner could represent to the public if released and whether that risk is manageable in the community. “
“After considering the circumstances of his offending, the progress made while in custody and the evidence presented in the dossier, the panel was not satisfied that release at this point would be safe for the protection of the public. The panel noted that there was no support in professional reports for Mr Grimson’s release and it concluded that he was not yet ready to be released. Mr Grimson will be eligible for another parole review in due course."
How old is this documentary?
@d.m2746Portsmouth is supposed to be about discipline and navy pride. So it makes you wonder… how did murders happen in its shadows and how does a trained sailor simply disappear like he was never there?. This is a mystery
