Gasoline cars are outdated already—the old brain.

Me and 2 mates watched this being filmed just above Ebbw Vale town, we watched it from the car park on the hill and we did ask the camera guy about the car to, it sounded insane

I like it but can't warm to the engine. It sounds German in the same way a DB605 engine in an Me109 sounds less musical than a Rolls Royce Merlin. V8 engines, be they American British or German all have a different sound and I would prefer the sound of a British V8, or even a straight six!

white interior is loathsome but cheap at the price

May I know what country were you driving during this shoot? Left-hand drive in left lane? Strange!! 🤔

That is one ugly *ss car....
Not used from AM like that.

It's just another expensive fuckin' gray SUV. Fine for those who can afford it, not particularly lust-worthy for those who can't.

Aston Martin along with a few other manufacturers that even though sell expensive SUVs, they are completely useless and pointless. Who would take an Aston Martin off-road, let alone put his kids in a 160k pound luxury SUV that can do 100 kph under 5 seconds. Obviously rich people who buy it only because they can afford it. What people need are dependable cars, and sooner or later all companies will have a line up ranging from small hot hatches to large SUVs, which is why Volkswagen, Toyota, Hyundai and now Kia dominate the market. By the time Subaru made the Outback and BMW made the X5, everyone decided to go with 'sporty SUVs', even Lamborghini went SUV, while the Urus sold twice as many units as all other models combined. Pretty soon, companies like Aston, Bentley, Maserati, possibly Ferrari and a few others will go bankrupt if they keep making what they want.

I really do love this car, properly tempting

Problem is it looks horrendous

I hope this does for Aston Martin what the Cayenne did for Porsche.
I would love Aston Martin to produce better cars.

I really hope this knocks it out of the park for Aston

A superb bespoke achievement. The German engine is a shame, otherwise another excellent feat of British design and engineering.

Looks like Ford Escape.

I kind of have grown to kind of like it.
It’s an SUV, so it’s flawed by design and hateful as a concept.
But it’s going to save Aston! Let’s abuse the tasteless masses for our own good.
But still. It is not an unsightly thing, and it is apparently well made. So I am going to give it a pass. It can stay. Reminds me of that Spyker SUV we never got. That was good as well.

I really wish that Aston Martin would up their game when it comes to the dashboard and the infotainment... looks heavily outdated and cheap..

I just love your reviews - objective, informative and entertaining. To me, you are the best reviewer in the business. Aston Martins have always been my dream car. Alas, I've never been able to afford one. So, my 550i will have to do! Cheers from New Zealand.

The whole thing is beautiful......except that fugly tail. WHY?!

@DonFather

One of the most beautiful SUV's I've ever seen! Better than the Bentayga (I didn't even give the Cullinan a second of brain energy). I'd certainly buy one. Maybe I will in a few years... Might as well give it my best shot!

@LagunaSomm
@

I don’t like it. Same as the Lambo Urus.

@ElZamo92

British car reviewers always gush over British brands. This car is not competitive just like most Aston Martins. They are great if you want to drive something expensive but cars cheaper can always outclass them. Even in interior materials and design.

@rueben44
@

Why do they continue to use old German technology ? While the Germans have all the latest tech saved for all their brands.

@oaktree5975

Looks like a Cayenne at 3:08

@SixSpeedSeven

The suspension tech on this is insane! Huge wheel travel and it is absolutely flat on corners. Using a 48 volt electronically Controlled roll bar...
