With the travel boycotts the Canadians have given the Americans, they now have time to treat Canadian Travelers the way other world travelers are treated. Years ago I lived within 10 kilometres of the USA border. Working night shifts often I would slip across the border and buy food and gasoline, no interrogation no passports just a friendly chat. That’s gone forever

When I reached the officer at at passport control at the Houston airport he asked a few questions, " Where were you born?" (Washington DC) "Where do you currently live?" (Cuenca, Ecuador) "Do you like it there? (Oh yeah)
with big grimace,"Really?"
I came very, very close to saying, "Hell yes I like it better...72% less fascism!
As a US citizen, they have to let me in...but they could hold me for additional questioning for several hours. I just said, "Yes...really" and entered. Glad to be back in Ecuador.
