The first few epic progressive champ summons I went for, I got within 25 shards, so that seems like a decent amount to start with…
Think it was fayne, deacon, geomancer and aox all super quick.

Biggest tip is hard focus one bonus in the great hall. You will be stuck for weeks on one of the last arbiter missions which is getting a bonus to 10. It is by far the biggest roadblock on the road to arbiter!

I found Palace of Aravia has the highest rate of rare drops if you want a lot of food champs.

Ha! I laugh at your feeble love for the $5 pack. Try having a free-to-play account that hasn't played for 3 and 1/2 weeks and then you come back for the new event and they offer you the Revival path where you get Elva and more resources than what you could basically spend $400 on all for $20 bucks

For great hall , try to max atleast 1 affinity bonus you'll need it for arbiter mission

Dont use your fusion champion for food , you'll need it for missions

I always pick up all the "free" gems provided by the game on a daily basis. Only on one or two occasions have I had to buy energy or [ugh] silver with those gems just so that I can dig myself out of a hole. Those gems take literally seconds per day to gather ... HTH (PS - I feel really guilty pointing out this stuff to an UBER-tier player but .... 6:7)

I have a clan with only my accounts that has all bosses opened if you want to join it and save time and gems.

Making 1 5 star chicken a day is solid.

Personally what I do is during champ trading I take 5-4star food and put 4 brews in each other hem so they are lvl 21 and then I. About a week of logging in I have 5-5 star chicken

For the Arbiter missions you need to focus on just 3 great hall to level 10. That's quite the grind for an early f2p player. Getting her on my f2p changed my arena team.

When I started playing in 2021 I went against the norm and focused on Resistance in my great hall instead of accuracy. It is the stat that gives your the highest player power so I was able to get into higher level clans. That got me better options in the clan shop and was able to progress in clan boss faster.
Also I found survivability was easier when not getting debuffed/CCed.

Ash, if you are struggling to use all your keys in Faction Wars, and you are building one 5 star chicken every day, try building chickens for the faction that opens the next day. That way, you can put them in crappy gear (I know you love the Gear Presets, you can just make 5 presets of fw champs) and just have them run with other filler champs. After the crypt closes, you can feed them into your daily 5 star chicken and you got even more value

for faction wars just level up chickens from upcoming factions, use them to clear a level or two, then use them up to rank up champions. rinse and repeat until you get some more long term champions. that's how us peasants dealt with early fw.

On the subject of starting a new clan, I happily offer you my old clan. It's level 12 and completely full of my own retired accounts. It's currently level 12 and has all levels of demon lord open. I could hand it over to you or stay and administer it. I would love to see it get new life and ti would save you the gems for starting a new one. I can change the name (currently Birds Aren't Real) to whatever you like.

Yeah, im doing that same thing, leveling champions everyday for future, alltho im that point where i can throw brews most of the time, and if im bored, i just throw 1 brew for 50 champs, and go campaing and level the rest 😊

I’ve been playing a mini game of “level and book all rares” for shits and giggles, and it’s taught me that using rares as food in the early game is a massive mistake on F2P accounts. You want those rares for FW (being able to beat a boss is crucial and you need rares for it), DT, and CC when you have nothing.

Start building your best rares, flesh out your FGs, and use extra rares to book them rather than using them as food.

Uncommons are the best food in the game. 9 runs at Brutal 12-3 + 1 run at Hard 12-3 gets them to 20, then you have all the 3* food you need.
