Minnesota State Patrol PURSUIT w/PIT (Detroit Lakes District 04/18/2023)
Video Overview & Insights
The fleeing driver (Jeremy Antonio Dalton) was ultimately convicted of two felonies (fleeing a peace officer in a motor vehicle and 5th degree possession of a controlled substance) and one misdemeanor (4th degree DWI under the influence of a controlled substance). Two misdemeanors (operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and possession of an open bottle) were dismissed as a part of a plea deal. The criminal complaint against Mr. Dalton stated that 11 doses of ecstasy/MDMA, an open bottle of Hennessey, and a small amount of marijuana were all located inside the Chrysler 300. Mr. Dalton later admitted to taking ecstasy and drinking alcohol prior to the pursuit. At the time of this incident, Mr. Dalton also had an active felony warrant out for his arrest from Hennepin County for 3rd degree burglary.
All of a sudden driver realizes he has a gas pedal. Yeah, this was some kind of vendetta against OTR truckers, I guess.
Mr. Dalton was sentenced to 15 months in prison (stayed for 4 years), 47 days in the Otter Tail County Jail (credit for 47 days time served), and 4 years of supervised probation for fleeing. Mr. Dalton was sentenced to 17 months in prison (stayed for 5 years), 47 days in the Otter Tail County Jail (credit for 47 days time served), and 5 years of supervised probation for 5th degree possession of a controlled substance. These two sentences were to be served concurrently. Mr. Dalton was ordered to pay a $25 fine for a chemical dependency assessment related to the 4th degree DWI under the influence of a controlled substance conviction. Mr. Dalton was ordered to pay $262.16 in restitution.
Court records appear to indicate that Mr. Dalton has had two probation violations documented as of the date this video was posted. The court file number for this case is 56-CR-23-848 and more information can be found if searched on the Minnesota Court Records Online website.
Not the brightest people
The female registered owner of the Chrysler 300 (who arrived on scene during the high risk traffic stop) was initially charged with one misdemeanor (obstructing legal process), but that charge was later dismissed.

What a ridiculous pursuit. It's like that cop was out on a Sunday drive.

@waynemensen4252Who's the regard in red that pulled up and walked onto the scene? I cannot comprehend the stupidity of their actions
@RosPerelliThese people are a special kind of stupid.
@edhunter5238Thanks🫡🔥🔥👍🏽
@ziiz777Why is it that the "people that are scared" act like arguing with people pointing guns at them is *JUST* the thing to do?
@KalamainSP10 and SP9. Actual troopers. These guys get it done.
@howcomeyoubutnotmeDalton is in North Dakota prison. He’s really a problem.
@jeepster1Driver doesn’t know why this is happening? You know how you can figure out why you’re being pursued? You stop, and communicate with the Trooper. It’s not hard.
@Shiny_Squirrel-k7b3:48 Announcement from dispatch that the channel is patched into LTAC-1 means that they have switched the radio system to connect the current channel that the trooper is on to connect to LTAC-1. LTAC-1 is a statewide channel that gets repeated over the statewide ARMER radio network, and every agency in the state has access to it. This makes it very easy for cooperating local agencies to communicate with this trooper, without the trooper being required to futz with his radio in the middle of the pursuit.
Minnesota DPS operates a statewide P25 radio network that all law enforcement agencies have access to. It makes it nice for scanning if you have a scanner that can handle trucked radio networks.
They shouldn't have dismissed charges on "Red shirt". Her fate should have been the same as every "Red shirt" on Star Trek.
@TheOicyu81241:14 She ACTUALLY SAID "I'm the one that got him to stop" 🤣🤣🤣 You sure it wasn't the four GONE tires and the PIT maneuver??? I've never laughed so hard in my life.
@sooveritgenxImagine my utter SHOCK when we finally see the driver 😅
@sooveritgenxHe's afraid for his life? Well he should be since it appears he's dumb as a box of rocks. 🙄
@sooveritgenx🚨 Mud shark alert 🚨
@viking8889so the criminal called 911 and said "im scared for my life and don't know why this is happening"? the idiot should have been charged with misuse of emergency services as well, ontop of the drugs and fleeing charges.
@LFPGamingamazing, Minnesota, Florida, Indiana, Ohio, Arkansas, Wisconsin, Michigan. it never seems to matter the place, the suspect is almost always the same... like they are a problem.
@Dratchev241At about 37:40, WAS THAT A GOD DAMN LEFT WING AGATATOR THAT GOT OUT OF THEIR CAR & RAN UP TO THE SCENE?!
UNFUCKING BELIEVABLE!!
Minnesota Troopers are very good at what they do. Their hands are tied by soft weak liberal law & policy makers.
@NetHazardDismissed charges are only encouraging this kind of behavior.
@StantonvThat was absolutely Ridiculous... It was like watching liberal california playing follow the leader til they run out of gas... Wide open highway... almost zero traffic and they didn't PIT after clearly Fleeing law enforcement with lights/sirens and even orders on the phone to stop... How stupid is it for Highway patrol to wait til under 45mph to pit? HIGHWAYS are always going to be higher speeds. They chased him for over 50 miles! that's ridiculous. He literally could've crossed into North Dakota in 5 minutes if he didn't pull off the exit. this was pathetic to allow it to drag on over 50 miles.
