There definitely needs to be a massive overhaul of Royal finances. And also slim down the monarchy. The sooner William is King the better. Is really obscene what they get away with.

So switch what they OWN to it should belong to the state ….. nasty man

If they don't protect the property would they not get destroyed by people just going in and helping themselves

People like Norman Baker and Andrew Lowden have done so much to show how the royal family really function.

And public funding for the Royal Household - the core element of the Sovereign Grant - will nearly double within three years to just under £100m by 2027-28… let that sink in

Isn't it time to stop including Scotland in a Britain where England is crumbling thanks to Labour, the Tories, Reform, Fartage, Robinson,
and the likes of GB 'News' and Talk (known in Scotland as Yawn)?

The Scottish National Party have been in office for 19 years to which has been added another five years. Everywhere you see the Saltire; all othr flags are being abandoned.

Here's a reminder why Scots generally are happy in how the country is run. Scotland wishes England well, but it no longer exists as a part of Britain.

4. Period Poverty – Scotland is the first in the world to make sanitary products available to all those who need them, free of charge.

5. Record high health funding – Our latest health and care portfolio spending exceeds £16 billion, with resource funding up by over 60% under the SNP.

6. Free prescriptions – Prescription charges abolished in Scotland – now £9.35 per item south of the border.

7. Free NHS dental care – We have already abolished NHS dental fees for all under-26 year olds, and we will deliver free dental care for everybody by the end of this Parliament.

8. Care For All – Free personal and nursing care extended to everyone who needs it, regardless of age – and we’re now taking steps towards a transformative National Care Service.

9. Free Bus Travel – Over one million Scots now enjoy free bus travel across the country, including over-60s and disabled people – and we’re now expanding it further to all young people under 22.

10. Renewable Energy Generation: Driven major growth in onshore and offshore wind energy, allowing Scotland to generate vast amounts of its electricity consumption from renewable sources.

I see Norman Baker is being fundamentally dishonest and he is banking on the fact that many people don't fully understand how the Crown Estate Works. It is a weird private limited company which is basically run by the Government, all of the profits go direct to the Treasury and a % of that money is 'returned' to the Monarch for running the office of Head of State. If as such a greater profit has been made by selling licences for Wind farms, the biggest beneficiary is the Treasury. Baker is very good at gaslighting just like the Express podcast is.

The Royal family gives 2 billion every year to the goverment from their real estate. They generate 286 billion in tourism (10% of the GDP). They also generate 2 more billion fot the British fashion. Thanks to princess Catherine. In return, they receive 500 million to represent the country wordwide every year. They are presisent of more than 600 charities. King Charles only with his trust helped already 1 million kids to be able to have a good education in very good schools. What is he talking about?

Before Norman Baker and Andrew Lownie we didn’t know how ripped off we were, after reading there books has opened our eyes. The money we give this ONE family is ridiculous it goes up each year, madness especially when us the British tax payers are struggling. They seem to get richer, we get poorer. After all the scandals it’s time this was stopped in 2026 it’s madness. They own virtually everything. No wonder they smile in public, laughing at us MUGS. It’s serious they pay nothing like we do, screwed for everything, it’s not right and not fair. I was a royalist but am now having a change of heart after reading these brilliant books.
