Is it okay to write fan fiction to practice with writing a future book someday?? If it is, how many words should it be if I'm going to write one story a week? Usually I write them 2500-4000 words, is that okay?

This video is informative and helpful. These tip reinforce the central ideas AI has taught me. I practice writing a paragraph and essay, then have AI proofread my paragraphs . AI refines my paragraphs , then gives me a summary to follow. I have more to improve on, it’s going to take practice and consistency.

Really useful video. Something that's helped my writing workflow a lot: BeLikeNative Chrome extension. You select any text on any website and use keyboard shortcuts to paraphrase, simplify, check grammar, or even translate. Works right in your browser — no copy-pasting to another tool. Free to try if you want to level up your writing.

I often think about writing and try to find the way that enables me to make the writting a habit, but I'm lacking the focusing how to persist and bush my decision forward.

Do you have suggestions?

You are a great teacher, one of the best. My problem right now is that I have to take a mock test in two weeks, and I only write on my computer or iPhone. By that, I mean that I rely on the autocorrect provided by those two, and the conditions of my mock test, as well as the following Cambridge test, will be different. That's why I'm watching your video: to see if you have any good advice that could address those issues. Even if you haven't covered those topics here, I will watch your video in full because I might learn something else that could help me out. I'm also trying to improve my listening skills; because of that, I stopped reading subtitles on a list of things I used to watch, but I'm afraid that, by doing this, I might not be able to pay attention to the spelling of several words.

The section on common writing mistakes is really practical. One mistake that doesn't get covered enough is writing that's technically correct but sounds unnatural. Grammar checkers will give you a green checkmark but a native speaker reading the same text will immediately feel that something is off. It's a phrasing problem not a grammar problem. I'm the developer behind BeLikeNative and that gap is exactly what it fixes. One keyboard shortcut rephrases your text to sound natural right where you're typing. No tab switching, result goes straight to your clipboard. For anyone doing the daily writing practice this video suggests, pairing it with instant native-speaker feedback accelerates improvement a lot.

I am going back to school in the fall and I'm so nervous about taking English. This is the only video that I've watched that has gone into detail about exact words to use and really broke it down. Thank you!

@Realsolotripping

I feel the first 27 mins was largely unnecessary. I'm really looking for a strict writing rule/grammar law list and explanation type of video. I wasn't expecting almost half of it to be a vocabulary lesson.
