Great dinks with volleys when behind kitchen line. Flat strokes and top spin from back doesn't create spin or angle shots at the back like tennis. Great game play

This shit is rigged.
I stg
The opposing team outclassed Ben and tardio in the first game and then just played less competitively through the remainder of the match

I started playing padel in Spain 20 years ago. One of the differences with tennis when you hit the ball is you normally use a single hand backhand. It was difficult to see someone using 2 hands for the backhand, but I am so surprised in this sport even if the racket or however you call it is even smaller you see so many players using 2 hands backhand.

Right side strong side is a thing! I was at Ross Ma's house when we discuss the fluid in rotating sphere for laminar flow streamlines, and I was talking with my dad this morning about how BSLK has good problems about spheres rotating in fluids.

Great with some games
[00:11:28] What an impressive comeback! After being down 4-0, Daescu and Alshon won 7 of the next 8 rallies. This play showcases their fierce fighting spirit and excellent coordination.
[00:38:32] Unbelievable, the score is 10-10! The match is at an incredibly tense stage. Both teams are playing with intense focus, and every point could decide the outcome of the first game.
[01:00:53] Gabe Tardio's "Bolivian Bert" play is just so bold! He jumped in front of Ben Johns to take the shot, demonstrating his confidence and aggressive style of play. A truly memorable moment!

If people want to get on Alshon for his on court attitude I fully get it. But full sends and lobs are just a part of the game, quit complaining. Especially at high level you need to change speeds and strategy to keep your opponents guessing. Would you rather they just played into Gabe and Ben’s strengths??? Silly.

I love how much of a genuinely good sport Andrei is. Tardio makes a hell of a save that becomes a hell of a play, and instead of getting pissed, Andrei smiles and gives Tardio his props and a thumbs up. I get why Andrei is so well loved in the PB scene. He's just such a cool dude.

take a shot every time dave fleming calls tardio a youngster
@natevanderweide8584Too many mistakes from alshon
@TMM-NI don't get these line calls
@Norman_XiongDo these guys just get too tired to keep up with Ben Johns. They look young and in good shape but I guess not.
@Max-kj1xbStupid game the players clearly stepped into the kitchen before the ball hit the ground and the game still play on 😂
@CCc-c4vLobbing....once you start, it's hard to stop.
@LeanneSchultz-x3yBJ makes very few speed ups, why?
@leondarcy7367There isn’t a more fitting person to play the absolute worst style of pickleball I’ve ever seen at the professional level than Christian Alshon. He continues to amaze me in new ways every time he plays
@mr9oh4Completely choked on the 3rd set.
@victorkhong765421:02 73 shot rally? Wild
@collective1515Black cap, red shirt—absolute disaster on the court!
@tyo9471Terrible view
Can see the ball in the mid court
Isn’t that a foot fault on Alshon at 1:00:50?
@PackerAndersonHey commentators, can you please talk MORE and MORE during points and after points and in between points and during points and after points and in between points?
@WayneRickerI wish the commentators would tell us the results of other matches...said NO ONE ever!!
@1manVBTeamThat's now you do it.
@petecircenis8930Tweener will be the GOAT if he continues like this and can keep his emotions calm.
@lukeallen7084Christian "Watch Watch" Lobshon
@SensimuseI thought "intentional targeting" was now subject to penalties? I know it says shoulders or head region. If you have to duck, that would be head or shoulders. Yes, part of the game, but both Daescu and Alshon were pretty egregious at times. Gabe and Ben definitely kept their cool and that's why they won!
@stephenbloch5017So much hate for Alshon, you can even hear it in the PPA commentators. From the first game where Ben was doing all sorts of forced and unforced errors the commentators had minimal response, rather when specifically Alshon does an error, “Oh Alshon misses the heroic ernie” these old men need to be changed out with commentators that don’t have favorites. Kind annoyed with their voices tbh and I’ve been watching the game for a year now.
@DanDemidovich21:01 @_@ what. a. point.
@andrewtaylor2607Great match!
@elainereisenauer4701Time- 25:45
Did the announcer call Gabe a Shanko Potamus????
Alshon 👎 Johns and Tardio elegant win. It would be time for PPA to have better camera angle and they have to stop switching teams from one side to another on the screen in the same game and sometime on the same point.
@carlphil45037:10 - clear foot inside kitchen twice from Tardio. How the heck it is missed. That point could have changed the outcome.
@ekonaam131349:20 - Ben in that thumbnail 😅
@SammyWinFLtardio is as good as most other teams left side player and he's playing right with ben johns. What a team
@vighneshramesh2569Very high level pball by both teams during first 2 games. D/A started fading during game 3 and gave it up in 4.
@ray1johnson1Daescu is one very very very fine player. Calculated, level-headed, strategic and balanced!!! Not sure Alshon is?
@noelgenoway9360Who knew Alshon could be even more unlikable, but going full lobster will do it. 🙄
@user-jc6pr5el5gLove Johns/Tardio .... but would also love Daescu to get his hands on the hardware, he is such a great player.
@WingsOfPeaceTorontoGo Ben and Gabe🎉🎉🎉
@TrangHa-vn8vbLove the Fleming mullet. Maybe a flaming mullet
@kennymccormick6309So glad Alshon lost he’s such a cry baby…Daescu carried him all the way to the finals..!
@jimmychafinsAnother Alshon game, another very questionable play style. And yeah, another one of his "here, go get the ball" tosses to the side out of frustration. Yes, obviously it's "legal" to hit extremely hard, obvious-out-balls toward a player, but you're not going to be well liked within the pb community, and Ben's single index finger up was the perfect way to acknowledge that everyone knew what he was doing. Go watch Ben's full send at Quang Duong for his feelings on constantly over-hitting the ball at a player with no actual intent on keeping the ball in. Shame yet again, Alshon
@DannyBPlaysReally dislike the way Alshon plays, going for body numerous times, its a bad look for him
@jobegerlach87Congratulations, my dear Ben, you are the best❤
Amazing Gabe.
Deescu is a great player, too.
But Alshon .... no comments, and his attitude is the worst.
Hopefully, he get better when he grows up 😂
Gabe has so much Goran in him, i love it!
@ThoseBackPagesAnytime a team lobs consistently, I root against them. I know it’s effective but it’s also a b** move
@Forerunner42Not sure what it was but Gabe played possessed this tournament. Completely different than the playoffs, he actually played with energy and aggressively. Not sure if it was because the surface was better or maybe because he was playing with Ben but it's the best i have seen him play since MLP St Louis.
