Austin TX is known for being the blue dot in a red state. Its motto is "keep austin weird" and it definitely is known for its laid back vibe, and awesome music and food scene. The geographic scenery here is awesome, with massive rolling hills, a dryer climate, and the Colorado River running right through the city. The unfortunate downside to Austin is that prices are significantly higher to purchase a home than any of the other metroplexes.
Houston TX is the largest city in any of these metroplexes, with tons of affordable family friendly suburbs to choose from. Houston is the only city out of these with close proximity to the Texas coast. Housing affordability here is very good. There are tons of things to do in both the city and suburbs here. It is a big sports and food city.
Thank you for the video!
Dallas TX & Fort Worth are both very nice cities with tons of great job opportunities and are experiencing tons of growth. Dallas is arguably the cleanest of the 4 cities. It has a more luxurious upscale vibe to it. It has some amazing family oriented suburbs located very close to downtown.
San Antonio is home to the Alamo. With a picturesque hill country setting, San Antonio is the smallest of the 4 cities. Housing affordability is very good here. It is the home of many military members and the San Antonio Spurs.
San Antonio is the 2nd largest city in Texas. It is much larger than Dallas or Austin as far as the actual city.
This video explains the differences between the cities to help you choose the best one for you!

The most beautiful and interesting city in Texas was not even mentioned. El Paso is not only my favorite in Texas, but it is also my favorite city in the United States. I was raised in Houston, so I have a deep understanding of the state.

Okay, I can help you with that! Here are some two-line comments:
1. "I was surprised by the climate differences mentioned โ Austin is dry while Houston is humid? That's a big factor for relocation!"
2. "Interesting breakdown! Didn't realize San Antonio had no toll roads and Austin has such high housing costs. Good info to consider."
3. "The 'keep Austin weird' angle is catchy, but I'm curious how much that vibe clashes with the rapid growth in other Texas cities?"
4. "Dallas seems cleanest, which makes sense for a more upscale feel. Houston's international aspect

SA is a boring city, they're restaurants suck, they're advertisements are deceiving, the Alamo church is a garage....

Which one have best public school for large family
@fadykonds6446Technicallyyyyyy San Antonio is second biggest city of the 4 ๐ค๐ค๐ค (based on city limit population) lol
@FluffiestWalrusI think I'm leaning towards Houston
@JoeyBlazey83Fort Worth, the biggest city in America not run by Demoโrats, the others are just gigantic ghettoโs!
@jleedawgAustin is bets ๐ ๐
@StoryAcheDiariesNative Texan here. All 4 Cities chosen are horrible. All of them are populated by carpet baggers from the North who donโt share our Texas values. If you must choose one of these Cities and want to get away from the crappy Town you currently live in, Iโd suggest San Antonio.
@scout06171Dfw is more than one city fool
@4thwave323Dallas has the better NFL Team thats for sure
@tommylom5170San Antonio is my hometown!
@CECRatardSan Antonio is not the smallest of metroplexes ๐ญ
@ferraz115Houston is NOT the biggest of the 4 metroplexes. The Dallas metroplex is larger. Houston is the largest CITY in Texas.
@Marchant2None of them. Too damn hot.
@kennyhughey7677Don't move to Dallas the people are not friendly
@zhamariusAustin is gay and a government experiment!
@QueenBe2Corpus christi: ๐ข
@imvancingit5:03 Houston is the largest of the 4 cities but not of the metro areas. I donโt even live in Texas and I know DFW is the largest.
@HighAltitudeHorologyHonestly me and my family went to San Antonio Texas for the first time for my brothers bmt graduation at Lackland airforce base and it was a great experience being in Texas I loved it I might consider moving to SA
@deezy_m9791Which city is best for retirement ? Only couple? Weather which is better?
@rationalthinker2724I live in San Antonio and they are taxing us to death every time you turn around. Property taxes in the nicer areas have skyrocketed. There are no big companies to work for. USAA has been laying off like crazy for several years and HEB is not really a "big" company and the majority of the HEB jobs are cashiers, etc in the store and those are not big wages. Most of the population is retired military.
@gbs5736Intresting
@donnikwels1337Houston is way better than dallas
@ColoradoBoyFansNone of the above
A small town is better
Iโm getting out of MN. Tired of the snow and weird people here. I moved from CA and we appreciate the QoL and affordability, but tired of โMN Niceโ. ๐
@blueflamer23Four shit holes.
@psg1941One thing though, austin is reallyy liberal. Its like a mini california in texas. You could compare it to san diego.
@hikey593The Dallas metro is the largest in the south, and it's the 4th largest in the country. In fact, the Dallas metro will soon be the nation's third largest (overtaking Chicago) after 2030.
@ray.d.oeaux1230Austin is probably the best, Houston really bad
@CalebHerscherIt's a shame Houston's massive skylines were depicted. No Uptown Texas Medical Center views only the small crappy angles of downtown SMH
@poseidon3201Correction: It's considered the Dallas-Fort Worth- ARLINGTON (not Fisco) Metro Area. The population of Arlington is great enough that if it was picked up and placed in West Texas, it would be the big city with surrounding suburb communities. Huston is the biggest city by population, but the DFW (or DFW/Arlington) Metroplex is the biggest METRO Area in the state.
@thullraven1Such a great breakdown of Texas cities! Each one offers something unique for different lifestyles. As someone exploring U.S. cities through the lens of relocation and travel, this kind of comparison is gold. Subscribed to stay informed๐thanks for making the decision process clearer!
@WheretolivetvI have been living in the bishop arts district near downtown dallas, i can take a trolly from this cool neighborhood or just walk over one of two Santiago calatrava bridges day or night into downtown.
@ericklerma7868Why do they have stalled abandoned cars all over the place in Dallas
@DistinctionTVYou look like my science teacher back in meswuite from the mid 2000๐ฎ๐
@SaintLaroyGuys, please let me know if its a good idea: my boyfriend and I wanna move to Houston from Toronto Canada. We are both engineers, there seems to be decent jobs out there. Two places are like the complete opposite climate wise - so we are just trading long winter months to humid summers. The main reason we wanna move is Toronto housing is stupidly unaffordable, the immigration, the refugees... liberal govenment is fucking over us tax payers. House in Toronto, like a 1500 sqft townhouse in the ourskirts costs 2M, comparing in Houston we can get 3500 sqft mansion for less than 400k so that sounds like a dream for us. We just wanna move in and build a family. Currently we are living in both our parents houses if we buy a house and get married in Toronto without living paycheue by paycheque.... by this rate thats gonna happen in our late 30s
@sytharsenalTexas is run by dangerous fascists. Abbott, Patrick, Paxton.
@eveyhammond8326you forgot El Paso and Corpus Cristie
@rahimi4762All terrible
@JohnCurtis6140DFW wins for me I disagree about Dallas being Flat alot of DFW is Green and hilly and some flat I live in Dallas county and theres lots of greenery here Cicada noises everywhere during Summer and ive seen some pinewood trees. Dallas has beautiful Trail parks like Katy trail and white rock trail and many more trails around the dfw metroplex We are only an hour away from State parks and forests in east Texas If u like going camping in the woods. Dallas metroplex is satifying enough In every aspect Parties oppurtunities Food ect Ur chances of seeing snow and autumn increases here and im only 5 to 7 hours away from the best cleanest Beaches in Texas in corpus christi and South padre island beach Texas as a whole is the best but my home is Dallas
@mrlowednreverb87371 Houston
2 Austin
3 Dallas
4 San Antonio
Moved to Austin in January of 1980 wonderful times, then the crap moved in which destroyed the unique energy and peace it once provided. Moved to San Antonio, and now that has been destroyed as well as the housing market. Lived in Dallas for 15 years and miss it but I hear it is no longer the same. Loved the cold winters, falls and spring times in Dallas. How in Houston...arm pit of the planet. I'd take Dallas but my job is here but could get me back to SA. Don't move here unless it is necessary. No longer cheap and traffic is worse with each passing day, Highest city of road rage in the nation, Yet, fabulous restaurants due to the diversity of cultures the city has to offer...good museums too.
