I read Parade's End 50 years ago. I feel that it may be time to revisit it.

Well! Those are my two favorite things- my neighborhood cafe and bookshops ( including our great million books Library). Yes, Paris is the only place I like to vacation- outside London- though after taking my 4 children by train 2 years in a row, I opted for Paris alone in Winter in a terrific rainstorm. I discovered Maxime Le Forestier's music at 3AM on a train and would play it loudly as French tourists passed my San Francisco home, never realizing I lived 5 blocks from La Maison Bleue.
