EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE MOVING TO THAILAND | VISAS | COST OF LIVING, ETC

Video Overview & Insights

Here’s a mini guide about moving to Thailand. Hope you found this video helpful! There are many more things that I can discuss, so let me know if you want a part 2 in the comments. Also, if you have any questions, let me know down below!☺️

Can I ask what your opinion is on the fact that Bangkok is sinking???

"According to the World Bank, 40% of Bangkok will be submerged by around 2030 due to the city subsiding at a rate of 2.0 cm per year while the Gulf of Thailand rises by 4.0 mm annually. Despite these dire projections, there is significant evidence of a "reluctance to leave," rooted in both economic necessity and deep-seated cultural ties. Economically, the OECD notes that the Bangkok Metropolitan Region generates roughly 66% of Thailand's GDP, concentrating the nation's manufacturing base and high-quality jobs in the very areas most at risk. Socially, experts at Rangsit University point to the "immovable" nature of the city's spiritual and royal identity—including the Grand Palace and numerous historic temples—which residents feel a profound duty to protect rather than abandon. This inertia creates a dangerous feedback loop: as population and infrastructure investment continue to grow in the capital (with a 3.9% population increase over the last decade), the sheer weight of new construction further compresses the soft clay soil, accelerating the sinking and leaving the nation's future increasingly uncertain as it balances the astronomical cost of a capital relocation against the inevitable loss of land."

and can you make a video on it? thank you dear.

Thank you for sharing! I’m moving to a coastal region (Krabi or Hua Hin) I know you’re in the city but curious if you found snakes and insects to be common in less urban areas? Also… hair. They got braiders for Black hair in the land of smiles 👀

I really enjoy your videos! I think you could attract even more followers and viewers by improving your thumbnails. I wish I could help out with that somehow. Right now, the thumbnails don’t always match the quality of your videos, and I feel like they could be more aligned to really grab attention.

Currently are there ways to extend a tourist visa from the 30-60 days to 6 months? I want to work in Thailand for 6 months to live cheaply to build my business then go to South America. Thailand has always been on my bucket list of countries to visit and have a few friends there. I really want to experience the culture and country.

very informative and good advice for new comers to Thailand. Curious, you mentioned you stay there for almost a year now. How did you setup your finances? Heard many expats went with Charles Schwab because they don't charge international fees on ATMs. Plan on setting BKK as a hub home base so I can go to other SE Asian and East Asian countries.
