NBC News correspondents Monica Alba, Richard Engel and Courtney Kube join Meet the Press NOW to report on the war in the Middle East as the United States and Iran look to sign a memorandum of understanding which could bring the conflict to a close.
I traveled pretty extensively for almost 10 years throughout my 20s and visited about 70 countries, including a bunch of Muslim countries (Iran, Turkey, Jordan, Egypt, Morroco, UAE, Malaysia, Indonesia). I went to Iran on a snowboarding trip in 2010, I spent about a week in Tehran and 3 weeks in the country all up. What I learned from my travels is that people are more or less the same everywhere. They want to pay their bills, take care of their family and enjoy time with their loved ones. Pretty simple. There are 93 million people in Iran not that different from the people I met on my three visits to America. I remember catching the bus to the ski fields outside Tehran. As soon as the bus got outside the city, the young Iranians turned up the pop music at let loose. They were not that different from college kids I met in Texas, Nevada, New York or California. I see a lot of comments calling for the entire population to be destroyed. Please remember these are regular people with lives not that different from yours. I’m not religious and to be honest Islam doesn’t seem all that different from Christianity to me. Whilst I’m not religious, I try to behave kindly and decently to everyone I encounter just because I think we should.

I’m going to make this very clear no country are close enough to have a permanent cease-fire no country on this planet wants world peace otherwise we would’ve already had it. They are more interested in greed and power no matter how you look at it and that’s for every government on this planet that’s what they want. They have failed human society. They have failed their citizens and overall they have failed this planet because we’ve been on this planet for thousands of years and we’ve talked about world peace for thousands of years. Do we have it now and it’s the world simplest thing if a whole neighborhood can get along so can this whole planet that’s common sense but nobody wants to do that. They all wanna act crazy mentally ill. I’m talking about the government. It’s a sickness every government caught the sickness of greed and power so therefore world peace is a myth and they should be ashamed of their selves for lying to the whole entire planet and the citizens they’re doing all the stuff for their personal game not for the citizens you guys are failures to society and the citizens that cease-fire is never gonna work you guys have failed big time

The reason Trump changed his demeanor recently is because Iran has 8 nuclear weapons.
At this point o don’t think anybody takes the man seriously. I mean they’ve won the “war” now 10 different times. Decimated them 50 times and had 50 different ceasefires and every other foolishness. Just a total mockery of the presidency. I was a huge Trump supporter 2 months ago. This whole thing really opened my eyes and I think A LOT of others especially with young people. His kids or grand kids have no chance at a political career now. Probably be charged in the future the way they doing things TBH

@Forest77Wood-m7gFrom what I have learned I can see already a potential flaw in the ‘agreement’. Iran has asked for half the sanctions relief($12b) be lifted at the outset of negotiations ie. once MOU is signed.
Contrary, however, the Trump admin is pushing for a “performance-based deal” before Iran receives any economic relief. In other words, I believe US wants Iran to make some concessions before getting back any of their own money.
There will be no deal with trump. Mark my words. Trump wants to make a peace deal. Then he threatens Iran THAY better get there Act together . Iran are watching all this crap talk from trump. saying or what it must annoy Iran. And make things worse. Trump wants to be a Hero
