While I agree that Tenet is his weakest film, I still dont think its anywhere near bad. I saw the movie once 6 years ago and I still remember large chunks of the movie, especially the third act.

Dunkirk is not, “war is hell”. Dunkirk is about the Western spirit towards humanity itself and the power people have to change the course of history for good when evil is knocking on the door.

Man I gotta say, I really love the bane voice haha it shouldnt work but for me it does. It makes him way more unique and interesting in my opinion.

Tenet is amazing for people who enjoy math textbooks. Also the kid is robert Pattinson. The end of the movie is where they meet for the first time

I remember watching tenet in my fake imax. The soundtrack was so loud I couldn’t hear anyone and I was confused AF the whole time on what the hell was going on the whole time and left the theatre kinda annoyed.

10:48 when Bruce's parents died he was about 9 or 10 years old. When he started to become Batman he was at least 20. So he did have his time to be depressed and he still was at the beginning of Batman begins. It wasn't until he met Liam Neeson's character that he seriously began to have a clear path in life. The robin hood like part of his life before the league of shadows was because he didn't have a clear goal and a path to reach that goal.
When Rachel dies not only is he sad, his body is beaten up from being Batman. Of course he needs sone big motivation to continue as Batman. Oh and don't forget he was a wanted man. Meaning he'd make everything harder for the police once he shows up because then they'd have to split their forces. Which is what happens once he shows up. It's not just that he's depressed. He had written Batman into a corner and needed a criminal more criminal than him to come back

Side note: was The Dark Knight banned in anyone else’s household like Adult Swim? Cuz I was 7 when The Dark Knight first came out, and I was not allowed to watch the film until The Dark Knight Rises came out. Until then, every time I wanted to watch The Dark Knight, my parents would not allow it at the time.

Dunkirk was just boring stuff happening, chopped up and rearranged so the interesting stuff happens around the same time

The Prestige is #1, then probably Interstellar, then Inception. I don't get the absurd hype for Dark Night, and especially Oppenheimer.

But also I had a total different reading of Oppenheimer. The dude saved the world by helping to develop the bomb before the socialists in Germany, but as a communist sympathizer he is not sure he did the right thing.
