$75 Spot Price, But What Price to Buy Silver at Coin Show?

Video Overview & Insights

With the silver spot price at $75 per ounce, what does it cost to buy silver coins from a coin show? Or to buy gold coins with the gold spot price at $4500 per ounce?

Dang, I just now got a notification … 3 days later. Good vid professor blackboard

Summit Metals, Buy Silver and Gold πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡

We are fortunate in my area that there is a coin show almost every weekend. I haven't been going because of the price of PM's. Just too much for me. I am planning on going to one in the next week or two just to see what's going on. I know most of the vendors so it will be good to catch up and see how they are doing. I am curious what they are paying. I know probably not much ($8-9 below spot) but want to see where they are at with that as well. Gold for gifts are awesome!

β€” @TalkingBullion

Browse or Buy the US Mint silver or gold, or Perth Mint Lunar gold series coins, or any other items!

------------

I go to local monthly coin shows here in the Chicago area and usually find at least one seller selling silver rounds at spot. Usually when I first get there, I walk the whole floor looking for the best deals before I buy. Buying really isn't the problem. Selling is the problem. If you want to sell something, the offers are still pretty far back of spot. Junk silver is the worst. The silver that was once talked about being the best buy for silver is in the dumps. Dealers are still offering quite a bit back of spot. For a while there were some good deals when buying but most of them are now gone. I'm still seeing some dealers offering $10-$15 back for buying junk silver.

Do you stack gold, silver, or both? I make consistent purchases for my gold and silver stack. Sometimes the spot prices go down just after you buy your latest coins. Sometimes the prices go up from the time you make your purchase, while your coins are still in the mail!

Are you a gold stacker? Do you stack fractional Gold Coins or full ounce gold coins? Do you stack US Mint American Gold Eagles? Other gold bullion? How about American Silver Eagles?

If you wanted Cheap Gifts, you could've bought some Goldbacks. There are some very beautiful designs now.

As a gold stacker (or silver stacker), with today's prices, are you adding more physical ounces of precious metals now, or are you holding, or are you selling?

Subscribe today, so you don't miss the exciting conclusions!

Poor Buy. You shouldve bought Constitutional Silver. Most of it is going Under Spot.

Another Great Video! πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡

Excellent pickups , my towns coin show here near Perth has very limited stuff . Last show there was around 5 coin sellers , very over priced on there Morgan silver dollars . They wanted double US prices and that is taking the exchange rate into account . But it was still really nice to meet other people interested in coins .

Don't Quit If You Bought $100 Silver, Do THIS Instead

Eagles are always my first choice, but that fractional gold kangaroo is a keeper. Three of them is better!

What would be preferred is to TRADE coins like we used to. We all have extras that some other collector would be interested in, and I could pick up a few that I need. No bs spot price discussion, justbfsir trades. Is there a site that does trades and avoid the scammers?

β€” @gnomebmw

Being a stacker is about being independent and about personal responsibility, so it might make sense to not even buy precious metals at this time. Having an emergency cash savings fund is important as well as paying off debt. Only you know your own financial situation.

A great day at the coin show and great deals too!!

From my perspective, silver and gold right now are dirt cheap. Everyone should keep buying a second Sunday of the month bye-bye bye-bye every month.

@billyespinosa-f8k

Ignoring the liquidity perils of subfractional gold, foreign coins aren't really "sovereign" in any meaningful financial sense. Many dealers buying them back will try reselling for a while but then they get tossed into the same "fine scrap gold" bucket as small bars and high-karat jewelry. Buyback discounting can be harsh and some coin shops will turn them away.

Paid cash and no receipts? Smart move (sarcasm). Now when you sell you must pay Capital Gains taxes on 100% of the sale price. Every penny is now taxable gains.

Looks like you found some good deals! That half gram gold coin is neat.

I have been gifting to my granddaughter for several years. I have given her a silver eagle for each year since she was born, that year being 2013, and then I gifted her the rest of the previous mintage years just to have a complete set. Also gold eagle and Maple leafs, but the thing we both enjoy the most is junk silver, which is what I originally used to get her interested in the field. I gave her a silver dollar a few years ago that was 140 years old and she couldn’t believe she was holding something that old that people used to carry around and spend as money.

I usually wait until I have enough saved then go spend $1000 to $5000. Otherwise it seems to be a waist of time. I can see it being a hobby. But I am holding for the long hall. So I wait for the big coin shows and make my purchases.

last show I went to I bought a 1 oz of special gold bars that were harvested from a magnetic gold vain as it jumps at any magnet passed over it. Deal at $3500. I found another last year on eBay...rare.

I would not pay that price for anything you bought. I buy proof silver eagles at spot, locally. I don't pay premiums.

ItΒ΄s always an excellent idea to donate precious metals to your beloved ones. And I think that you paid some pretty fair prices as well. Eighty bucks for an ASE would have been an okay to me. Half grammers are also interesting, but thereΒ΄s always the danger that they could get lost easily, so tell your relatives to keep them in their fancy packages. Just my 2 cents. πŸ˜‰Greets from GER, U.
