I started on Agatha Christie from age 12 thanks to my dad. I had finished her whole list by age 15 . I recommend Crooked House .
My favourite Stephen King is Storm of the Century
Try also Ruth Rendell. The Inspector Wexford series.
For contemporary writers I recommend She's Not Sorry by Mary Kubica. The audiobook is on You Tube.

The only tools I've found to be truly addicting and all consuming were the Jack Lawrence books I've been waiting, and Through the Ashes. 100/10. I also really liked his David Thorne series because it reminded me a lot of James Patterson.

Dan Brown’s novels have always been my all-time favorites when it comes to mysteries and thrillers. During this Ganesh Chaturthi vacation, I went through Alice Feeney’s novels—and found them all thoroughly engaging. If you haven’t read her works yet, I’d say give them a try. Since you mentioned The Silent Patient, I have to say it also stands out; the way Alex Michaelides wove the ancient Greek myth of Alcestis—depicted in the painting created by the victim—into his narrative was truly brilliant.

For recommendations, I would, of course, suggest Dan Brown’s The Da Vinci Code and Angels & Demons (if you haven’t explored them yet). Otherwise, Lee Child’s Jack Reacher series is an excellent choice for action-packed thrillers—especially since the Amazon series Reacher is based on those books. And if political thrillers intrigue you, Tom Clancy’s novels are definitely worth exploring. For standalone thrillers, Behind Closed Doors by B.A. Paris and The Turn of the Key by Ruth Ware are also well worth a read. I think you’ve already read McFadden’s Never Lie, but many readers also recommend her The Inmate—which I haven’t gotten to yet. Her Housemaid series is also decent - especially 2nd book, fast paced and impeccable plot twist.
