Mine favourite would be the story of Asian lions there were only 19 left in the wild the ruler of that particular region started their conservation. It's quiet impressive because kings back than were known for hunting not protecting

My favourite conservation succes is th hainan gibbon. In 2000, there were only 9 individuals left, now their number climbed to 33

My personal favourite conservation success story is the Madagascar pochard. Once thought extinct and subsequently rediscovered 200 miles from their last known location in unsuitable habitat in 2006. Since then a captive population has been established and is going strong at 100ish birds and they have been reintroduced to another lake, Lac Sofia. The reintroduced population has started breeding and the local community is getting onboard with the project. I love this for three reasons, 1) I love ducks; 2) I work for the conservation department at WWT who helped save them and 3) it's a great example of local and international collaboration.

My favourite conservation story is that of the Tasmanian devil. Australia has some of the worst extinction rates in the world, so a conservation success story does warm my heart. While not out of the woods yet in Tasmania; due to the threat of the facial tumour disease (a type of contagious cancer), the semi-wild insurance population is doing great on the Australia mainland, thanks in part to Aussie Ark. If all goes well, we might just see Tasmanian devils roaming all over the Australian mainland as their ancestors did.

My favourite conservation success story is of the red kite it was almost Hunted to extinction and there were only small populations in North Wales and due to conservation they can be found everywhere.

One of my favorite conservation success stories is one I tell mostly because it's funny to think about.

Canada Geese.

They were one of the inspirations behind the migratory birds act in the 1950s, as their populations had been in decline for a while. To combat this, geese were raised in captivity and then released in hunter-free areas such as city parks and neighborhood ponds. These efforts were so successful however that nowadays those same city parks and ponds consider geese to be a nuisance, as these new populations weren't migratory and just hung out pooping everywhere.

5:17 speaking of the northern white rhino have you heard of the plans to rebuild the northern whites population by using artificial reproduction by putting their eggs into Sergent mothers of their southern cousins if I remember correctly those involve in this project are the San Diego zoo and a zoo in Europe

This zoo is the definition of quality over quantity

My favorite conservation success story is the American bison.

So happy that this zoo is conserving such endangered species and that they are being so well taken care of with this immense habitat. I loved the white rhinos in the rain, what a spectacular scene!

Favorite conservation story is California condor (even though they're still endangered). I remember when condor ridge was new at the SD wild animal park. The enclosure's Southwestern desert theme and the massive aviary that overlooked the paddocks was such a massive scale. It left a big impression on me and made me want to do more research on why animals become endangered (and why I love animals to this day.)
