I work in cyber security. This was spot on.

I don’t know if it’s just me, but early in my career I’ve already had to do or shadow a lot of higher-level stuff. My main duties reach up to security engineer work, so when people ask what I do, I usually just say, “I’m a floater and try to help wherever I can.” 😂

I recommend the book "a hacker's philosophy" by Sebastian Ramirez de arellano. Amazing for understanding social engineering

Just started my journey into cyber. Not too sure what I want to do yet.. currently studying for my bachelors degree in cybersecurity while studying for network+, security+ and CompTIA A+. I was thinking about ethical hacking, SOC or a security analysts. Any suggestions that can help me decide which is suitable for me and what’s not?

mfw; u realize ur basically doing all levels depending what ur needed for.

One note about pacemakers: there has never been a known successful attack on one. It could theoretically happen, but, the security is rather tight, they only send-information, they cannot recieve orders externally (a nurse will daily monitor the vitals sent a pacemaker), and there are just way easier and more effective areas to hack (for right now).
