Would of preferred 3-4-3 diamond. Balances out the good players we do have so certain roles are not overloaded and others lacking. I think stones could make good CDM. Attacking 4 would be Kane, direct striker. Bellingham CAM and then rashford and perhaps saka on the wings I mean you could replace saka I guess but I think he tries harder for England than anyone else on the squad constant running trying too tackle when not in possession so I like him for the squad Gerard was similar always tried whereas Rooney could be a bit lazy at times.

Just an opinion / Kane will get in the way by dropping back leaving space for the opposition to fill.Oreilly will play left side midfield and England will play 3 at the back with Rice one of them allowing Anderson to play in front.The weak link will be Pickford who most of the time hates crosses and guess dives in a pressure situation and flaps around most of the time.Lucky if we get to the last 16.James will get injured if played or before he plays.

The selection is definitely not random or based on hope or reputation as some England picks have been in the past.

I'm not saying it's going to work necessary, because quality of execution is a massive part of it, but I genuinely believe he has a detailed plan and has chosen the best players for that.

The problem is he’s ripped up the England Squad that got to 2 finals and a semi. He should have built on it. Croatia had an old squad for years and did well.
