So could you get away with filing your taxes and simply stating that the income came from illegal activities, without specifying what said activities were? Technically that isn't admitting to a crime, but you never declared what crime you did, and if they manage to convict you of your crime, they could not also convict you of tax evasion.
@marscalebI like how when this video was over, Youtube showed me an ad for Turbotax.
It's like "Hey, now that you're aware that you need to pay taxes on your drug deals, we can help you with that!"
HAI you should explain how the tax system violates the 13th amendment
@CaosBoyCathianWhen you've just robbed a bank and successfully escaped the authorities but the IRS knocks on your door for their share
@shoddypeasant8762I got a turbotax ad on this video lol
@pxmpplug5036Finding a 20 on the ground as you walk into Walmart is taxable!
@benjaminlehman3221Should one report illegally downloaded games/movies/music via torrents? If so, how exactly should one estimate the cost of watching "Frozen" or listening to "Imagine Dragons"?
@physicswithdragunov...WELL,GOTTEN IT RIGHT,HEHE
...ABOUT AL CAPONE WAS FRAMED FOR tax evasion...
The IRS are theives
They tax whatever they can
The IRS doesn’t expect anybody to pay taxes on illegal earnings, nor to even catch anybody for not doing so. They just want to make sure that these people, once caught by other means and for other crimes, can also be charged with tax evasion.
@mr88cetTaxing crime?
Okay.
I can't believe hit YouTuber deals drugs
@whichpen35Some criminal out there needs to actually pay taxes on the stuff they sold, and bring the IRS down for receiving proceeds of crime.

@davidebacchi9030“Properly taxes…you gotta pay those” - Gigi Cestone
@wildbill7267I knew Capone got busted for that, hadn't heard it was a thing before it came up with him
@KingAlanITldr: to catch sneaky criminals with tax evasion charges if nothing else works
@eetuthereindeer6671Al Capone: I made 100 million USD in bootleg alcohol.
IRS: Oooohh, there's gonna be a tax for that.
Just don't steal; The government hates competition.
@robertgrays8790Assuming that’s not already your homepage 😂
@jasoncowgill752In tax accounting we had close to a full day on just accounting for bribes, because (iirc) bribes are taxed differently depending on their situation, if bribes are part of doing business then they can be a write off while if they arent then you cant write that off. Its been a few years and this hasnt come up un my professional life so i could be wrong but i just love how detailed bribes are taxed.

@fuiehfjfcnslUntil some years ago, maybe a decade, you could deduct tools you needed for your crimes (think of crowbars for burglars, for example) as business expenses from your income tax in the Netherlands.
@SeverityOneThis is your reminder that Al Capone got caught on tax evasion.
Pay your taxes kids.
is there anything illegal about kitten flattening factories?
@smaza2" I'm crazy enough to fight the batman, but the IRS? Nooo thank you! "

What if…. You did pay taxes on your crimes?
@legendcat8913But then why not just make a subcategory of taxation between lawful VS unlawful businesses?
Surely there's gotta be some sense into heavier levying on unlawful businesses that make it big (just by their nature) while easing up on those that actually want to follow the rules, right?
Carbon offsetting is a scam
@bryanp8010Taxing crimes without reporting crimes to police os the moat American thing I've heard about
@LadislausKalligAs a US citizen abroad, I have to use the same forms to report my "foreign earned income". I've never lived in the USA in my life. It's a little odd. Oh, and fun fact - you also have to report money earned from war profiteering.
