@DiIIPickIeFact that they didn't go visit Jermaine on his and Jake's shared birthday really gets me. Or like, could have at the very least shown Jake making a phone call to him after the flashback, even if Jake himself didn't know any of the story of his birth
@neoman4426I just finished my rewatch last night, and I really like how Jake and Jermaine grew closer at the end of the series ("Abstract" is a really personal episode for me).
I think he had a hard time being the middle child in the family, and as someone who also tried to maintain pointless family traditions for way too long, I really empathize with Jer
There might be someone who actually acknowledged Jermaine after all. In 'Come Along With Me' we see two decrepit statues, one of which seems to have depicted Jermaine once (since the label plate contains the word JER). Therefore, while shunned and put aside all the time both when he lived and when he existed in the afterlife (Together Again), he might have actually gotten his five minutes never shown offscreen. He was probably recognised as the greatest artist of Ooo. Again, it would be a faithful depiction of our reality where we often appreciate someone after they died, more than we did while they were still around.
