@BlueToadPachirisu is a great story. It wasn't dominant, it didn't define a meta, it just had all the right tools for one particular time to shine and one trainer found exactly how to maximize it's potential. Feels like an anime where the protagonist's starter Pokemon is just their perfect partner

@TraumasamanenCan we talk about how move animations are declining? I never really paid attention since I stopped playing after gen 7 but just compare the water spouts at 4:06. Itāsā¦.. kind of sad. Gen 8 was still a cinematic attack, but gen 9 is justā¦ a big splash of water. And of course, behemoth blade, behemoth bash, and dynamax cannon. Astral barrage is probably the best there is, cause even like glacial lance, electro drift and collision course areā¦. Maybe not mid, but they donāt feel legendary, like gen 6 origin pulse and precipice blade, or the gen 8 dynamax cannon, B. Blade and B. Bash.

@anoobius3330š± OMG I had the same guidebook and spent the exact same number of hours on Gen 4 as you, Wolfey! Aaaahhhhhh! I love you! I literally made notes on every single page and EV trained every single pokemon, even if I wasn't going to use them competitively. I had a specific team for online play, but I still wanted to raise one of each pokemon I could find. Oh man, such good times. Serious nostalgia trip right now. Thank you for all your hard work and expertise. You are a gift to the pokemon world!

An interesting thing about Palkia (and kindra but thatās not gen 4) had one weakness and it could hit that for super effective making it basically op but then after 2010 Nintendo said there wonāt be a restricted in gen 5 and then they would add a type that could also hit it with super effective
