32K resolution is the next step up from 16K resolution. The term 32K resolution refers to a display resolution with about 31000 pixels. 32K resolution consists of 30720x17280 for as aspect ratio of 16:9. This doubles the pixel count of 16K in each dimension, for a total of 4x as many pixels. The 32K resolution makes for a whooping 530.8 megapixels (530,841,600 pixels). 4x as many pixels than 16K resolution. 16x as many pixels as 8K resolution. 64x as many pixels as 4K resolution. And 256x as many pixels as 1080p resolution.

There are plans from different groups to start implementing 32K technology. Although currently there is not a great deal of interest in 32K as 16K is yet to be developed and no known video cameras cable of recording in 32K exist yet. 8K still does not have widespread usage such as 1080p or 4K. There are less than 3% of TVs using 8K.
Currently there is very little support for 32K, as most codecs and encoders don't even support 16K, let alone 32K. VP9 and Daniel2 are both codecs that support 16K. The encoder OBS allows you to record or stream at a resolution of up to 16384x16384.

Currently YouTube allows videos to be uploaded in 16K, but does not allow playback in 16K resolution, as 8K is the highest playback setting that someone can choose, which can play the video back at 14,336x8064 if someone uploaded it in 16K.

So take the base resolution of 960x540 which was considered HD back in the 1970s. Then multiply both figures times 2 to get what is now known as Full HD or 1920x1080p (non-interlaced/NI). Each time you make your multiplications for 2K-whatever "K" video resolution it is still rooted in a spec that was developed when the first Star Wars films were hitting the silver screen.
