Less than a year into President Donald Trump's second term, Vice President JD Vance has already received endorsements for the 2028 presidential campaign, including from Erika Kirk, the wife of the late Charlie Kirk. Political strategist Mike Fahey joined LiveNOW's Josh Breslow to discuss what this all means.
Perhaps Vance has an edge for the 2028 nomination, I'd prefer to see a contest rather than a coronation. Vance would be fine as president. Rubio would be excellent.

@KowlawitchVance is in a pickle. Not only is TPUSA going to be a boat anchor but a lot of Republicans are suffering from Trump burnout. If things keep going the way they have been for Trump he is not going to be very popular and neither will anyone that is in Trump's circle. If JD tries and put distance between the two and makes campaign promises that involve accountability towards Trump's presidency, Trump will flip out on Vance and try to put his own loyal sycophant in the race. Trump absolutely needs a loyal minion in office. His legacy will hinge on it.

Erika just put a bullseye on Vance if Trump wants to put him in the dog house. This far out makes things precarious for Vance.
