More than half (54.3%) of Belgians of foreign origin and non-Belgians hold a nationality outside the European Union. Next comes the group of nationalities from the European Union excluding neighboring countries (27.0%), and finally the group of nationalities from neighboring countries (18.7%), namely France, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Germany, and the United Kingdom.
