Panama receives only 10% of its GDP from the Canal. Please check your facts Panama's economy is very diversified relying not on any one source.

As a Canadian , we don't need a visa and we land in Rio Hato (Santa Clara) at an airport only Canadian airlines fly into . Customs is about 20 minutes as we are the only flight landing and another 20 minutes we are at our resort in Playa Bonita .

Nice video, nice presenter however they are few things most be corrected… Panamá adopted the US dollar from 1904, not in the 21st century as the presenter mentioned it.
• One behind-the-scenes video each month (market crawls, food explorations, and travel vlogs)
• One exclusive recipe PDF
For starters there is no North and South. Costa Rica is to its West and Colombia to its East.
• One ingredient deep dive

Great video!

I had a coworker who happened to be my best friend from Panama. But after retirement he went back to Panama 10 years ago but never called me back or answered my call.
I thought it’s good to have a friend from Panama to get more knowledge but I don’t know why he never cared for anyone from NY.

ABOUT THE CHANNEL
Appreciate you sharing your perspective and what you enjoyed! Thank you!
It's 180 days for us coming from the United States. 😊
Tales From The Road & Tastes From The Road are a long-time creative project of mine exploring how global traditions, culinary history, and deep cultural narratives intersect at the dinner table. Alongside our long-form documentaries, our short-form series—Tastes from the Past and Project 197—recreate worldwide dishes spanning from ancient antiquity to the modern day. We look past standard travel guides to document the grit, beauty, and craftsmanship of the world's oldest food cultures through an unhurried, observational lens. I am a full-time digital nomad working to help people travel deeper.

I thought many Afro Panamanian along with Asians came to build the railroads. When was the slavery?

Really well done overview!
@anntolley7837I'm visiting Panama soon. I want to know how to catch the ferry.
@TricieWilliamsonThey have a great subway in Panama City!
@Simplyme4961All Blacks originated from Africa. There are no blacks that originated from the Caribbean. They were brought there same as they were brought to USA, Brazil and the rest of the Caribbean and South America. The reason of the Caribbean food influence is because a lot of Caribbean nationals' ancestors went to help build the Panama Canal and eventually settled there.
@BO_RiddlePanama is a 3rd world country, charming-somewhat, but still 3rd world. I found a lot of retirees from US & Canada retiring there. Everyone of the expats I spoke with said they moved to Panama because of a cheaper cost of living. Sure Panama could be somewhat cheaper, but it's still 3rd world. Bottom line... 3rd World and everything that goes with that, it's not fun. Cheaper cost of living means cheap products, etc.
@edwardwall502America need panama 🇵🇦
@SheriffAmi-pz4fcpanama beautiful cant wait to go visit.. any suggestions
@melissamiles1614Thanks! I didn’t realize La Tapa del Coco had lunch specials. I would like to see you prepare Carimañola which I’ve only had in Panamá. Sancocho and Patacones are typical cuisines of numerous Latin cultures.
@bedinabebe4521Americans can visit for 180 days.. they can only DRIVE for 90.
@anniesshenanigans3815Panama is in Central, not South America
@StephWalker-qu3nxthinking about going next month, thanks!
@holistictrishYou forgot Gamboa Island to feed the monkeys! Beautiful experience!
@OuzoadventuresIt's Central America not South America and because of the way it's oriented Columbia is actually more to the East and Costa Rica is more to the West
@markglidden8512Please spell the name of that Panamanian restaurant in Panama City that has the word Fonda in it and serves typical dishes.
@GREGGXYZ0:45 Costa Rica to it's West, Colombia to it's East 😜
@Jogi187I'm SO looking forward to visiting Panama City for the first time this coming Christmas.
@Atheria444Really nice job. Best video about Panama that I've seen. Thanks.
@miker563150% right bro, I live here and moved from San Francisco, California. Tell your tour operators to tell the truth please. Is very sad that you said Bocas del Toro its a National Park.
@crygilThere is food everywhere in panama, including the sidewalks. There are these great food stands everywhere called "fondas." The food is cheap and delicious. You don't have to eat every meal at a restaurant.
@aiedvideoplusDo not try to drive in panama city. You will not survive it. They drive like spawning salmon.
@aiedvideoplusPanama is in North America!
@colemanwtI really enjoyed some of your video. I am Panamanian born and I speak Spanish so I wanna know what is Panamanian Spanish never heard of it???
@pablobernaschina154Thank you.
