TRANSCRIPT:

https://lexfridman.com/matthew-cox-transcript

1:15:00 I laughed my ass off when Cox says he loved the feeling of appearing successful, and then Lex tried to defend him even though he ran a massive fraud, AND THEN Cox says "I'm not Elon Musk" as if that's some sort of relative comparison for "real success", and the fact that both of them completely ignore that Musk is running companies with absolute fraudulent evaluations so that he can get access to your 401K funds and screw over Retail investors.

OUTLINE:

This is the best podcast ever recorded.

— @sesantakvatro

0:00 - Introduction

1:59 - Mortgage fraud

30:01 I have a hard time believing you could bring in a homemade birth certificate you forged to the DMV, and all they do is visually check it and issue you a license. Dont they run your birth certificate against the official Vital Statistics registry first to check that it's actually legit and in there?

— @Free-s5m

16:47 - Creating fake people

50:33 - Arrested by FBI

⚠️⚠️POOR JESS SAT IN THE CAR FOR THIS ENTIRE INTERVIEW. BEAT HIS AZZ JESS❗️❗️

— @missthunderstormable

1:59:03 - Getting caught

2:12:28 - Going on the run from FBI

The only thing I can’t agree with Matt on is the ratting, if you can’t do the time don’t do the crime… you knew the stakes when you’re committing crimes, you shouldn’t do them if you can’t take the time that might cause with it. How are you going to take people down because you messed up. There are people who rat and people who don’t, if you know you can’t do the time then don’t get involved, it’s as simple as that!!!

— @GTinHisBagg

2:24:09 - Identity theft

I’ve met people like this guy and I’d bet the farm 3/4 if not more or this is all bullshit s d made up and never even happened. Just by his cadence and his body language I can just feel the bullshit coming off of this guy. I mean God Bless him and to each their own. And if this is all true he’s a damn genius, but I can’t help but feel like this story is completely manufactured as he’s talking. Nobody remembers every single detail about a story this long like this. Just saying. He’s a talent that’s for sure but this is basically a fictional true crime story he came up with. You can’t help but keep listening but you can just smell the bullshit coming from his pores through the phone.

Legendary episode. I was just watching an episode about the female realtor who was in a similar position. Matt referred her to come hear his story. This episode was amazing.

Today might have gone like this...There isn't anything perfect except moi ...log in to teams and send these notes to the Executive Virtual Assistant then Zoom the Human Success Officer and ask em to Amazon over some whiteout and pull the PIP off the printer, we ccd you a copy DocuSign that after and sent to Exec Committee email group not Executives ...got it? Do that now

By that time all this would be done the borrower would have been "laid off. "

Matt... $60k for Walmart work is out of touch. Maybe a like corporate level person? But even managers at Walmarts in my area aren't making $60k and lord knows they deserve it with the bullshit that goes on in my area.

I wish I met that guy back then as we shared the same location. I had my own "operation" going on but I made sure timing and scale did not warrant 20+ years in jail. Luckily, banks were very busy covering their own criminal activities in 2008-09, they neglected me hitting them with a $250K in assets. Unlike Cox, I targeted solely banks, no individuals were hurt in the process in any way. Those suckers deserved more, the timing was perfect, they were bleeding all over, but I was time restricted and way too smart to engage them further. Seven years later my credit file was completely blank as it never happened. But the world changed ever since. PS Cox made the most common rookie mistake - he got women (crack heads at that) close to him. His risk-assess management skills were non existent and that single handedly cost him everything.

I've watched a lot of Matt Cox's interviews. This one has been the best. It has so many details that others skip over. Six hours well spent on my days off.
