Watch the Russian film "Purgatory." You've definitely never seen anything like this. It's not a film, but a meat grinder.

00:00 - Intro
1917?????
00:21 - All Quiet on the Western Front
01:08 - Mosul
It’s only four episodes, but The Liberator is well worth watching.
01:52 - The Bombardment
02:33 - The Siege of Jadotville
Watched them all, liked them all.mosgul is intense. Siege at jadotville is really nice. The pacific is really good! Band of brothers is very very good.
03:17 - Beasts of No Nation
03:32 - Narvik
great list of movies and tv series, from the all action band of brothers to the thoughtful all the light we can not see, have seen them all, some several times, and it would be hard to pick a 'best of' from the list....
04:27 - War Sailor
05:05 - The Forgotten Battle
😢
05:53 - Unbroken
06:27 - Black Hawk Down
US citizens have no idea what's going on. US MORAL is weak. Why do you think they're putting on war material these days on TV? The US isn't all that but the citizens have always been brainwashed into believing that.
07:05 - The Pacific
07:46 - Band of Brothers
none can beat Band of Brothers, none.
08:39 - All The Light We Cannot See

The Pacific is the best of all, because it hews closer to the truth of combat. Saving Private Ryan and Band of Brothers make it seem cool...

Excellent and spot-on analyses of what have to be some of the best films, period, on Netflix (for whatever reason, their film offerings are generally not very good, imo). I’ve seen all of the films on your list save for War Sailors, and was particularly impressed by lesser-known gems like Mosul, Beasts of No Nation, and All The Light We Cannot See. Well done! I’ve subscribed and look forward to more great content!
@fifthbusiness1678sure, no coverage for the eastern second world war battles. Everything is about the west.
@xjuliussxWhat about documentary films or series
@helpy3jacki363“All the light we cannot see” ! My favorite
@parichatann7249Idiotas, ¡EN ESPAÑOL!
@luisantonioordonezhuaco9035Thanks - I've watched most of them except the Norweigian ones which I'm keen to do so soon
@weizmeisterWhat a load of nonsense, it's hard to tell which is worse. If someone wants to watch a real movie on this topic, the right choice is All Quiet on the Western Front (TV Movie 1979)
@franksobotka5057Can't find Pacific
@ISREALHASGODJust watch Mosul...very good 👍
@ISREALHASGODIs Tuntematon Sotilas (The Unknown Soldier) still on Netflix? If so, it's definitely earned a spot in the hidden gem -category.
@topiheimola69Brilliant, a human voice at last, thank you so much
@yohanwarner2674All quiet on the Western front, great film and if I may say the third incarnation of the film. 1979 is the best version imho, also the 1930s version is great .
@TheCaptain64Generation Kill
@philiphughes-s6pAnd the Finnish movie ‘The unknown soldier’
@randykangas9390I guess there something wrong with your title.Its PAST 2025
@jinglebell9107Why bla bla bla ?????????
@gardoniwalter1583The original all quiet on the western front is the best version, made between the wars and banned by Hitler.
@7777maestegNice job! Very well written and organized
@taylorwThank you
@victormwale8957There is a malaysian film called makbat. Based of their role in the black hawk down side
@Sully1911can we stream most of these in uk
@bobyouel7674Siege Of Jadotville was great! Forgotten Battle -Awesome!
@1rwjwithI don't think the education of an average American citizen should be used as a yardstick when it comes to what chapters of global history are known or not. The edge of the soup plate ends neither on the east nor on the west coast.
@herrtannenbaum4943Good list, but would like to see you go the extra mile and say which movie is available in which zone so I don’t waste my time on one’s I can’t watch
@GandalfTheWhoWhy only European war movies here?
@sanjivkaushal5834Narvik was good
@princet6969The seige
And the bombardment
All quiet of the western feont
Great man ta
@georgeashton8578War Sailor is outstanding!
@christopherem3108Band of Brothers was amazing.
@lend3586What about "The Tiger," dumbass?
@hldvoyeur4709Didn’t think much of the forgotten battle. Bought it, watched it once and it went to the charity shop!
@robertrawlyss7373I’ve been to Peleliu 2x to Scuba Dive and see the battlefield. I had entire WW2 battlefield to myself by foot, snorkeling, sea kayak, and rented car. I saw all of the sights that they showed in The Pacific and am the proud owner of Ack Ack’s foot locker courtesy of his nephew.
@DéjàVoodoo89To me, the band of brothers was boring, specifically the last episodes. The pacific was more entertaining.
@RobertoHernandez-cw1jnNetflix need more top war movies
@alexvanderlinden6027Very nice list thanks
@ChristopherSloaneThank God for an actual voice rather than a computer.
@bobmetcalfe9640I watch all of them. The Pacific and BOB at least twice.
