Arnold Schwarzenegger Finds Out Linda Hamilton Didn't Want To Work With Him | The Graham Norton Show

James Cameron also originally turned down Linda Hamilton for the role of Sarah Connor, because he thought she was too young and pretty to be the lead in an action movie and nobody would take her seriously.

That was until the casting director got into a huge argument with Cameron, and told him that he was going to "jeopardize the production" after turning down so many many thousands of women who were auditioning for the role. So they allowed her to audition again.

It was a similar situation for John Connor in Terminator 2: Edward Furlong also had to audition for the role a second time... and the second time was after the casting director personally paid for him to take a few acting lessons.

I'm imagining some regular guy, back in the day, renting T1 on VHS from Blockbuster and recognizing his car in the film. "WTAF? Thats my car!" Fast forward to the present, Arnold gets the bill from the guy. 😂

Recently watched Terminator and T2 back to back. Her physical transformation is incredible and ties so well into the movie (driven into preparation for the machine takeover). I can't think of another transformation like that in movies.

Considering the difference in cost etc.....I still think The Terminator is a better movie than Terminator 2. And Terminator 2 is phenomenal. I just think the first one works better, in part because it HAD to be tighter, because they didn't have the big budget.

Lol, there was $800 worth of damage to my car on that set. I think the agency I worked with was called Crystal Blue, something like that, in Sunland. They refused to fix my car and threatened me to never work in Hollywood again if I tried to get it paid for these people were idiots.

I was funny because terminator was a very low budget film as compared to running Man and I worked on both. I loved the clothes they put us in on Running Man for the tech room following the runners with Richard Dawson. Arnold came and visited and some of his family that I met when I was on tour showed up. He wouldn’t let anyone besides that bodyguard guy who is very handsome was taller than him, but he didn’t let anybody else taller stand next to him. Then he didn’t like how his body looked in the suit so they cut quite a bit out and redid the scenes after he had a month to bulk up more. He looked absolutely the same to me after that month of trying to get bigger. It was a fun set to work on. Oh yeah, the food was better there as well and Paul Michael Glaser is that his name he was Starsky and Hutch the Brunette. I was able to sit and have some time with him just chitchatting about in personal issues. It was a good time.
