In middle school, our show choir danced to "You Can't Stop the Beat" and it unlocked a newfound respect for Broadway performers who can do a rigorous dance and sing with stability. It also made me realize I was a chorus girl instead lol

I’ve tapped Audition in 42nd street & singing in the rain (slower version) and jazz Mambo, One, Too Darn Hot 2x), & Rhapsody in Blue, so…
But not as well as these amazing dancers!

You managed to omit the choreography of the title song from 1965's "Walking Happy!" The Tony clip featuring that number is available on YouTube.
@robertd.carver6240Iconic? I think frenetic better describes what's presented here.
@edwardolson8996The Brotherhood of Man number in How to Succeed in Business became a favorite of mine when I saw it done by the original Broadway cast on the Tony Awards. It’s deceptively complex, fast, athletic, and an incredible workout for all. Daniel Radcliff, who is not a professional dancer, was incredible and perfectly kept up with and led the chorus of suit- clad dancers. One could really appreciate the effort at the end, when Daniel’s mic picked up his panting to catch his breath when it was over! It deserved a higher rating than #48.
@noelquentin57In the song, " Brotherhood of Man", Finch is trying to deflect animosity against himself to his fellow workers by emphasizing that everyone is flawed and instead of focusing on flaws, they should try to accept everyone the way they are no matter how inompetent, lazy, brownnosing, etc they are. This is because Finch himself has been exposed as a fraud whose only previous experience before climbing the corporate ladder (at a breathtaking pace) was being a window washer. The original "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying" is one of the best musicals I have ever seen. The story is told a lot of times by the music. One of the funniest segments is where Mr. Big winds up having to give his secret girlfriend who has no brains or qualifications a job in the office. Just that one clip where all the men watch her walk us devastatingly funny. This is really how things were way back in those days.
@MsmorningsunriseI have never seen or heard anything about gatsby.
@susansurles3776This is a totally fab list! I guess bc it’s more recent, I expected to see at least one more Hamilton dance - either Satisfied or Non-Stop. Or for that matter, to see the dance Mikhail Baryshnikov & Gregory Hines danced together in White Nights (or another one from that film). I’m more of an Astaire than a Kelly fan. But generally loved the list. HUGE B’way & old tap dance fan!! ❤❤❤
@prosen8966My partner fell DEEPLY ASLEEP during the performance we attended in San Francisco. I kept trying to understand WHY this play was so significant. As far as I am concerned, there was only ONE song which reached the public. From my perspective, the play itself is utterly impossible to remember. If you’ve experienced the play you know. BUT I have NEVER forgotten how this ONE song wrenched my feelings! Ah yes, “Memories”. Perhaps having ONE song making a play unforgettable is worth considering that ONE instant worthy of acknowledging the rest of its entirely forgotten story.
@JerriHåddingI Loath the cavalier presentation of this video while at the same time gasping at the minuscule moments of each miraculous performance!
@JerriHåddingNitpick" The title is "It's the Hard Knock Life", not "It's a...". I would like to have seen a Broadway cast doing A Lot of Living To Do, rather than just the movie cast. And I would have chosen Rich Man's Frug from Sweet Charity, not Big Spender.

I love when Velma and Amber join in- shimmying across the stage.
Broadway’s Mary Poppins “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious” choreography is a great nod back to Will Rogers Follies
@deniselongino6769I can say from personal experience that dancing with a walker is definitely not easy. I was in the ensemble of a local theater production of "The Producers", and it tested this non-dancer's skills. I love the fact that it's included on this list.
@sazfretz1945Turkey Lurkey TIme
@jodysklar6525❤😂🎉 Hairspray, Smash, Newsies, Holiday Inn... There are so many. 🥳 Always dancing in coastal Mississippi 🐻
@ScottRandolph-dd7drCats, The Phantom of The Opera Masquerade sequence, Oliver, Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Oklahoma, and other musicals should've been on the list. 🗽⛴️⛴️🚖🚖🚖🚖🚔🚔🚔🚔🎭🎭🎟️🎟️🎟️🎟️🎶🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵
@shaliseshaw9385the Halloween dance from the Broadway production of Be More Chill is so much fun. Jason Tam absolutely killed it with the costuming and the moves
@kaelang12The Music Man is the best.
@bblake44I have so many favourite musical dances, my top one being "You Can't Stop the Beat", from "Hairspray.."
