The film also stars four-time Oscarยฎ nominee Amy Adams ("The Master") as Daily Planet journalist Lois Lane, and Oscarยฎ nominee Laurence Fishburne ("What's Love Got to Do with It") as her editor-in-chief, Perry White. Starring as Clark Kent's adoptive parents, Martha and Jonathan Kent, are Oscarยฎ nominee Diane Lane ("Unfaithful") and Academy Awardยฎ winner Kevin Costner ("Dances with Wolves").
Squaring off against the superhero are two other surviving Kryptonians, the villainous General Zod, played by Oscarยฎ nominee Michael Shannon ("Revolutionary Road"), and Faora, Zod's evil partner, played by Antje Traue (upcoming "The Seventh Son"). Also from Superman's native Krypton are Lara Lor-Van, Superman's mother, played by Ayelet Zurer ("Angels and Demons"), and Superman's father, Jor-El, portrayed by Academy Awardยฎ winner Russell Crowe ("Gladiator").
After watching James Gunn's new Superman movie, I can say with certainty and clarity that Zack Snyder's Man of Steel is irreplaceable, timeless, philosophical, epic, simply a beautiful and perfect film.

@fidgetthrwayy-wx9rpI liked this movie despite some of the issues. Itโs an interesting take on Superman but now the new Superman takes a different direction. fantastical rather than grounded realism. Which is cool to see having both kinds of Superman in live action. Iโm hoping for one Multiverse movie with Henry Cavill Superman, but stick to only one movie please as we see what happened with Marvel Multiverse phase.

MOS would be perfect elseworlds story,but it didn't work in main universe
I liked MoS but I don't think people here are being objective. MoS was a story not of Superman but of an Alien with his Symbol. When you put a comic of Superman in front of you and you put the most recent Superman Trailer side by Side with Man of Steel. The music , scenes, the vibrant colors, of the New Superman trailer reflects more of Comic Book Superman than MoS does. Now we have seen the movie so we don't know how it will be but on the Surface. I got pumped when hearing the Music and watching the scenes; twas almost like we were going back to the Christopher Reeves film
