Top 30 Best Wedding Songs of All Time

I'm not trying to hate or anything but Faithfully by Journey is one of the best wedding songs imo.
Edit: Yes, I know what it's about so don't tell me.

And here's me, picking an unknown song for my first dance that I found in a Tinker Bell film! I walked down the aisle to 'Songbird' originally by Fleetwood Mac, but we chose Eva Cassidy's version. But we had a full playlist for our reception as we're both huge music fans, even if we do have very different tastes!

My wedding was thrown together in 3 days (long story that had nothing to do with pregnancy). While I set up a playlist for the wedding itself (a few songs while people were sitting down, one for my walk down the aisle & one for after the I Do's) I completely forgot to pick a first dance song! Our reception was held at a friend's house. I scoured through her music but was unfamiliar with most of the artists she liked. I DID find Olivia Newton-John's "I Honestly Love You". Now, I'd known the song since it first came out but never REALLY paid attention to the lyrics. So, there I was, in my new husband's arms, swaying to the gorgeous song, and wanting to commit this moment to my memory forever...when I actually paid attention to the lyrics...particularly the last verse. OOPS!!!!! Well, we'll be celebrating or 39th anniversary this September, so it didn't do any damage. LOL

"All My Life" by KC and JoJo was mine and my (now) ex-husband's song. Married in '98. My mom didn't think it was appropriate. 😂

How on earth is the most obvious song not on that list, which is Julie Rogers' The wedding, a UK #3/ US #10 / Canadian #8 hit from 1964??!!

Hoobastank The Reason - is about growing in your love, adapting and even changing as necessary. Love that song 😍

I find a lot of these types of songs from the popular talent shows.. I always love discovering music that moves me..

Perfect was my sister's wedding song but it was a different version that featured Andrea Boccelli

I thought Elvis Presley's "Can't Help Falling in Love" should have been #1--but I'm biased because it was our wedding song. Also played at our 1991 wedding: "Unchained Melody" and "Wonderful Tonight." Another great song of that time was the Phil Collin's remake of "Groovy King of Love."

Peggy Bundy: "Just try it. I put a very feature on it. When you flush the toilet, it plays "We've Only Just Begun"."

Al Bundy: "Peg, you know that's our wedding song! Every time i hear it, it freezes up my innards solid!"

Please don't use Endless Love! The movie's love story includes arson, death, and commitment to a mental hospital. In the end the male love interest goes to prison.

When my husband and I got married our first dance was to Garth Brooks Make You Feel My Love. Later on during the reception my brothers and I (we had a little garage band when we were younger) surprised my husband when we did a cover that I sang of Eternity originally by Dreams Come True that was used in The Swan Princess movie.
Loved that song as a young girl.

I can't believe this list didn't include "There is Love (Wedding Song) " by Paul Stookey of Peter, Paul, and Mary. That song defines the wedding genre so thoroughly that people stopped using it because it was TOO overdone.

I mean... you guys did pretty good with the list, but... no Matt Nathanson - In your wedding dress? Have you not watched One Tree Hill? So many wedding ideal songs in that show. Also Celine Dion- Because you love me, Tell him (ft. Barbra Streisand) etc., Jennifer Rush - Power of love, Whitney Houston, Dolly Parton ft. Julio Iglesias - when you tell me that you love me, Joe Cocker - you are so beautiful ( also "You can leave your hat on" is being played when the garter comes off LOL), Frank Sinatra - the way you look tonight, I'm in the mood for love - Rod Stewart, and so so many more. P.s. for "Make you feel my love", I prefer the Sharon Leal version. Heard it on Hellcats and loved it.

This list loses all credibility by not including Lovesong by the Cure. Robert Smith wrote that for Mary, who he has been with since they were like 14 (the man is 65 now!), as a wedding gift in 1988. To me it is the most honest lovesong as theyve been each other's true love. They're still together to this day. The song is known and loved even has been covered by 311 and Adele (on 21). Insane it wouldn't be included on here.

Valentine by Jim Brickman and Martina McBride is appropriate for weddings even if they're NOT on February 14!

You forgot This Is the Night by Clay Aiken and Drowning by Backstreet Boys I danced to both songs at my wedding. First one was my first dance.

Our wedding song is "Meant to Be" by Florida Georgia Line featuring Bebe Rexha. The lyrics really spoke to both of us and we felt it really described who we were as a couple. We had faced a lot of backlash in the beginning of our relationship from his family due to culture clash but after a certain point, neither one of us cared what they thought since we loved each other so deeply.

I Don't Want to Miss A Thing by Aerosmith was my wedding song. I'm pretty sad it didn't make the list. It was even in the movie Armageddon during the proposal and wedding scene. =/ Power ballads are definitely welcome at my wedding. I think it's one of my favorite love songs of all time.
