You guys need to do a story on the Morris brothers in the late 70s early 80s . The robbed night deposit boxes in Virginia. There from Elkton Virginia. They both live in Elkton now. They were very smart hillbillies. I think a tip broken from a screwdriver got them caught. Interesting case. Check it out.

In the mid 90's I had a radio as part of my employment involving hazmat response. It was a programable radio that allowed you to enter up to 200 frequencies and you could scan, listen, talk on those frequencies. I was driving down Broadway Street in San Diego when a 211 bank report came over the San Diego Police Central District channel. The suspect was described as a "black male 5 feet tall, 130 pounds" left on foot with a small brown paper bag." Immediately after the report I see this little black guy walking fast down the sidewalk with the kind of paper bag you'd get at a candy store. He was walking fast up Broadway street and crossed Broadway in front of me at Broadway & 8th Street. I called 911 and reported his direction of travel. He walked up 8th Street and I got a good look at him as he shuffled north on 8th Street. I called again and reported him traveling north on 8th towards C Street. I jumped out of my truck and grabbed him by the arm. I could hear the police cars heading our way from every direction. It was like holding on to a little kid as the police sirens were roaring in on 8th & C Street and they took the little guy into custody. A short time later the FBI called me and told me that he was known as the "pigmy bandit." He kinda of looked like that actor Gary Coleman. I sort of felt sorry for the little fella. It was his 4th or 5th bank robbery in which he'd bring a little brown bag and hand it to the teller and tell them to put money in it. If I remember right he had something like $311 dollars in the bag on that caper. Did Wells Fargo thank me? Nope!

Sooner or later, they all get greedy.

Amazing. These bank robbers must of given Hollywood the idea behind the movies the Heist and Ocean 11. ๐Ÿค” They proved, once again, crime does not pay.

Crime doesn't pay no matter how desperate you get the police will get you.

@Apchestangenightout
@

If you can't do the time don't do the crime because at the end of the day youll always get caught no matter how long it takes whether it's the police department , FBI , CIA or whoever , they'll always get you. For you not to get caught, just don't do the crime unless you're willing to spend football numbers in prison .๐Ÿ˜‚

If anyone gets away with robbery for the first time, they will not stop again until they are caught, its easy money and they sort of get addicted to it and the money and the new lifestyle they live with the stolen money ... any robber can be rehabilitated if they caught the first time and punished for it thoroughly
