— @zachwayne6343

How do we define the best states in the United States to live in?

The World Health Organization defines quality of life as a person's ability to meet their needs, achieve their goals, and address their concerns. Material conditions like housing, income, and more abstract factors such as health, education, and security all contribute to an individual's overall well-being.

“Minnesota ranks high in healthcare, education and public satefy”. But all money spent is wasted on fraudy businesses ….

Gotta get out of California this is crazy the taxing the Democrats do here Here's the new policies coming up for two 1026Property Tax Hikes/Prop 13 Repeal: Politicians have gutted Prop 13 and want to fully repeal it with their Split-Roll Initiative – with their ultimate goal of increasing your property taxes on your home to today’s assessed value! If that happens, the average homeowner will end up paying $6500-9000 more in property taxes annually.

Savings Tax: Politicians want a new tax on your personal savings and investments.

Mileage Tax: Politicians are proposing a 6-cents per mile tax costing an average of $900 per driver per year!

Sales Tax Hike: We are tracking over 250 local sales tax hikes and now state politicians are looking a statewide sales tax hike. Soon every city will be at 10-11% sales tax rate for every item you purchase.

Healthcare Tax: Politicians propose to double California state taxes to fund government-run healthcare – costing average of $16k per household per year

Utility Tax: Politicians want to impose massive "flat rate charges" on all utility bills - charging you no matter how much energy you use.

Gas Tax: The gas tax is set to automatically increase July 1. You currently pay $1200 a year in car and gas taxes.

Exit Tax: And if you finally decide to move from California because of these costly taxes, state politicians want to force you to pay an exit tax for up to 10 years after you leave

Some additional info/small corrections about North Carolina from a life-long resident.

If you plan to move here and do well for yourself, you'll hopefully be seriously considering and able to afford Raleigh, Charlotte, or Greensboro, and nowhere else because anywhere else will quite likely put you in poverty. I grew up near Winston-Salem and had to leave to find entry-level professional work. Ended up in the mountains for continued ed and work, things happened and I exited my intended career field, and was instantly in poverty again that I could not successfully stay there and get out of, predictably. Eastern NC will also put you in poverty just as quickly as the western boonies, it is filled with extremely poor and excessively high-crime towns. Lumberton is a good example of an area to stay far away from, and in general I have heard horror stories about northeastern NC in particular what with extreme racism and violence toward non-whites, people mysteriously dying and going missing, inexplicably not being approved for housing or loans or etc, they're cagey about who they give jobs to, on and on and on. Only the rich who can afford to lose their house or belongings once in a while from hurricanes live on the coast. When I was growing up Durham used to be our notorious "hood" city and its crime is still bad but I've heard they have been trying to fix the place up over the last decade or so, and Fayetteville is another dangerous, poor city. Raleigh is best for work opportunities and quality of life but with NYC cost of living and local snobby attitudes and crappy behavior (lots of trust fund kids driving sports cars around trying to play bumper cars and wreck them for fun.) Charlotte has a lot but I also learned in community college it is the city with the lowest upward social mobility in the USA (i.e., if you poor, you stay poor, or so they said anyway.)

And the NC locals who were born and grew up here, especially in the smaller "quiet" towns, are hateful people. They are the source of the most complaints I hear about NC, the reason why I hear a lot of people choose to leave, and a major reason why I don't like it here either. I'm convinced we somehow have the perfect conditions for breeding narcissism, or have some kind of major narcissist spawn point minecraft-style, because it's really unbelievable. You can't walk five feet without running into them and they really work their hardest to make every job and every aspect of life impossible. If you find yourself depending on anyone for anything you can be sure your head will be held underwater and you will make no progress in that area until you somehow find a way to outsource your needs or become independent with it somehow.

I'm watching this video because I'm also trying to leave NC, but I'm unsure where to go because it's been so hard to claw my way out of here, and I just really need something to work. 😅

I’m going to have to quit watching your videos Briggs. Except for a couple of your picks the rest of them are shitholes. The homeless problem extends to more than just Colorado.
The fraud in Minnesota along with the governor and state representatives encouraging civil unrest is no place I want to raise a family.
The whole PNW has been taken over by the woke mob and Idaho used to be a great place until it was invaded by Californians and the prices were driven up so high that most of the native Idahoans had to leave.

Sacramento California has its issues but gets the Delta Breeze in the summer. The winter is wonderful compared. No snow. The only dangerous weather is fog in the winter and that’s when we get a lot fall rain like this year. Sacramento California has wonderful weather.

Do a follow up on this list December '26. My bet on 1-25-26 is that Minnesota will be on one the worst places to live in '26 and '27.

Briggs talking about Minnesota, we know things really are in Jan 2026 there not good . But no mention of all the riots and fires there.

Most of the states on this list are also on the the list of states that people regret moving to.
Coincidence? I think not!

@not_nostradamus683
@

In one video you say Texas is the state with the most regrets, but now it's one of the top places to live?! This is why these lists are crap. I live in Minnesota, but it's not the way you describe it. I mean, I don't know what state you're talking about. People are leaving it, Minneapolis is in chaos, and it's facing a multi-billion dollar deficit. I'm not saying it's terrible. It's a good state, but it's not like you just described.

If you’re single in Idaho, in your 30s & the least bit on the left this state SUCKS!

@sapientv9793

Everyone is leaving wa state taxes kill us, price of food and gas is up unlivable. Crime, homeless. OUR ROADS ARE SCHITT! you need to check you facts bro .. 500/year for car tabs and permits just to hike. Governor is corrupt to. We have a lot of decent animal shelters is one of the few pros, besides summer here. The rest sucks.

@mericanmade7773

I think Arizona ts the BEST state. As far as I know, it's the ONLY one that has BOTH "Constitutional carry" of firearms (no permit for concealed carry) AND legal weed! FREEDOM is of utmost importance! Everything else is secondary.

@Pootycat8359
@

As a Washington resident, hell no. This state is trash and I can’t wait to get out of here. They are doing everything they can to tax you to death and decriminalize pdf files. GOODBYE!!

@Not_a_witch
@

You might want to reconsider Massachusetts as #1 or even in the top 10 We have a Governor and mayor that are hell bent on destroying this beautiful state. They care more about illegals than they do about their own residents.
