Video Overview & Insights
Looking for the best things to do in Louisville? From horse racing history to vibrant parks and cultural hotspots, Louisville offers something for every traveler. Whether you’re planning a weekend getaway or a longer trip, this guide covers the top attractions in the Bourbon State!
I have to say you missed a couple of our most favored tourist attractions. Somone didn't do their homework. 1) While you did show some video of Churchill Downs those pictures are several years old. The construction on the paddock area was completed over a year and a half ago. The current visual of the paddock area is eye opening. 2) I was caught off guard when you didn't mention the Louisville Slugger Museum. The iconic baseball bat is made there along and the interesting story of Hillerich and Bradsby is also told there. 3) You talked about the green Great Lawn but showed pictures of the lawn several years ago after it was flooded. It kind of looked like the brown lawn. 4) You shouldn't visit Louisville without taking a drive through Central Louisville which is the home of the largest gathering of Victorian Homes in the country. 4) You barely mention bourbon but never showed any of the distilleries on the bourbon trail. 5) The Belle of Louisville, it is 112 years old and is the oldest operating Mississippi River-style steamboat in the world.
Catch a game or tour the iconic Louisville Slugger Field, then experience the thrill of horse racing at Churchill Downs. Enjoy a stroll along the scenic Louisville Waterfront Park and admire fine art at the Speed Art Museum.
Discover history and beautiful architecture at Cave Hill Cemetery, explore the campus of the University of Louisville, and relax among nature at Waterfront Botanical Gardens.
A very helpful video as my Family and I are looking for things to do in Louisville!
Families will love the Louisville Zoo, while sports and culture enthusiasts shouldn’t miss the Muhammad Ali Center. End your day with a walk across the scenic Big Four Bridge.
