Top 10 Best Things to Do in Cleveland, Ohio [Cleveland Travel Guide 2023]
Video Overview & Insights
Rock and roll your way to Cleveland and visit some quality attractions there.
How come the pro football hall of fame was never mentioned? I know it's not right in Cleveland itself but it's close by.
You will be satisfied by the legendary Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, which was brought to the city to bring more tourists to the area. It cannot be easy to pick which ones to visit, and it can feel overwhelming when confronted with all the cool options. Other efforts to increase the appeal of Cleveland to visitors include cleaning up the city's polluted areas and increasing the number of trendy hotels and restaurants downtown.

@cata_s2020LONG COMMENT: This is a truly awful video, and clearly made by someone who has never been to Cleveland. This list is awful. See my corrections below. I'll start off by going through one by one, and then talk about some of the things missed by the video.
Edgewater: Fine, acceptable thing to have on the list, but no mention of the fact that the Cleveland Metroparks that operate Edgewater is consistently rated as one of the best park systems in the nation. Be sure to check out the whole "emerald necklace" not just Edgewater.
While we're talking about parks, the video fails to mention that Cleveland is one of the few major cities in BIKING distance of a national park. While Cuyahoga Valley National Park isn't very impressive by national park standards, it's phenomenal for any park that close to a major city. Consider taking the scenic railroad through for a unique experience.
Zoo: The zoo's fine. It's a nice zoo, The best time to go is probably during the Asian Lantern festival that runs throughout summer nights. Much more unique experience. Again no mention of the metro parks.
Lakeview Cemetery is actually pretty cool. Presidents and uber rich people such as John D Rockefeller are buried there. Wade Chapel is a gorgeous work of art.
The aquarium is small and not worth your time unless you really like aquariums.
The Cleveland Orchestra deserves to be on this list. It is consistently ranked as one of the best in the nation. Including #1 in the nation by the New York Times. If you're a fan of classical music they're can't miss.
The Museum of Art is also great! It's free and have some great stuff. While every city has an art museum, Cleveland's really punches above it's weight for the size city it is! Definitely worth your time, and it's in the beautiful University Circle area. Both Wade Oval and Wade Circle are beautiful.
The Botanical Garden is nice and also on Wade Oval. Though if that is your thing, you might be better served by making the 35 minute drive out to the Holden Arboretum. WAY larger, and worth the drive.
MOCA: Personally I think it sucks, but I don't enjoy Modern Art... Kinda small, don't know why anyone would go here instead of the main art museum.
Great Lakes Science Center: nice for what it is. Good place to entertain children.
Cedar Point: Not in Cleveland as the video claims, it's an hour away. Worth being on the list. One of the best amusement parks anywhere. Only problem is people are starting to figure that out, expect long lines or fork out big money for fast passes.
What should have been on the list but isn't:
Rock Hall: While I don't know any Clevelanders who would consider this there number 1 attraction, there is only one, and it's in Cleveland. Worth a visit. (Also the Football Hall of Fame is only an hour or so south of Cleveland, so you can do two for one).
West Side Market: anchoring the hot Ohio City neighborhood this old style market serves plenty of ethnic food in an old architectural gem
Cultural Gardens: A bit more of a niche pick. A selection of gardens built and maintained by Cleveland's immigrant communities. Very cool to see all the different cultures that make up Cleveland celebrating themselves.
Food scene / Tremont: Cool neighborhood on the near west side with a large number of restaurants as well as the house where A Christmas Story was filmed, restored as a museum.
Brewery scene: Cleveland is loaded with breweries. Check out Great Lakes Brewery in Ohio City or Noble Beast downtown for good places to start!
(Also around 30 seconds in there's a shot of Columbus instead of Cleveland, goes to show you how much effort was put into this video...)
Not and I’m from here …. Not a vacation spot , I leave here to go on vacation.
@ciara0000I ❤ Cleveland and all the places mentioned! Would recommend the West Side Market, Goodtime III, Cleveland Metropaks, and the Flats. Cedar Point is an hour west of Cleveland and check out Amish Country about one hour south. Worth the trip! ❤CLE❤
@citysunshine1117Delete this🔥🔥🔥🔥
@stealzxd7086Me living in Cleveland and not knowing what to do

@ericbokhari4452A cemetery?
@shanewise83Cleveland sucks! Go visit somewhere else
@LD-tk7qfBest thing is NOT TO GO!
@5150searayWhy isn't the #1 'leave'
@justasalamanderI owe everyone in the comment section a beer. this was overall a nice try but really nothing is worth making a special trip to clevo, EXCEPT maybe the rock hall of fame, which ironically was not mentioned. this is all stuff for bored locals like me to do. There is also a science center and the flats strip along the river which are actually downtown vs cedar point which is over an hour out of clevo.
@jjrusy7438And now ladies and gentlemen.............Cleveland now has camping sites available in the city!, Get yours now!!
@beerrunlkl7774And why wasn't the Rock Hall in the list??
@EricDOswaldWhy is there a shot of downtown Columbus at the 34 second mark??
@EricDOswaldyou forgot #11 getting your dog gun down by cops.
@pandaberserk3390Cedar Point is NOT in Cleveland!
@patrickwoods2213You mentioned nothing about Flats
