Impressive project! I didn't know the oldest one was in the US.
We have a bridge-tunnel renovation in progress here in Montreal (QC, Canada), the bridge-tunnel was inaugurated back in 1967. The renovation (rebuild) started in July 2020, they have completed one direction of the tunnel a couple of months ago and are now working on the other direction. It's in my neighborhood, a very complexe and disruptive project. I see a lot of microphones installations everywhere in my neighborhood, probably to monitor noise level. As usual in these kind of projects, they are already over-budget with close to $3B CAD spent. 😬
At the same time, they are extending a new subway line in my neighborhood with many new stations, it's a construction dream or nightmare depending on your point of view... I like it! 😊

@markperry4536This shit is been going for years and progressing slow as fk... road construction everywhere made poor Norfolk looks even worse, car crashes every day on 64, it's absolutely nightmare for everyone, especially service member rush to work in the morning, people simply leave their heavy equipment there for months, for weeks and you don't see anyone working, I'm not surprised they will finish this in 2027.
