I moved from the US to the UK in the fall of 1995. I was in a college dorm and had to make friends at the local pub where they were all always watching football. DBK's introduction to Arsenal was my introduction to football. I have loved it ever since and BK was the reason it all started. He was simply the most fun player to watch that I have ever seen. He made me fall in love with football and I can never thank him enough for that. There will never be another one like him. Absolutely amazing to watch, I became an Arsenal fan and always will be. How many games did he miss because of the flying thing? Simply unreal.

@MarcusAurelius-y9kIn HS, we had a striker that also didn't dribble. All he did was run, shoot and head the balls. He didn't care about dribbles, he'd run through players.

@simonoshe552I am a Feyenoord supporter so I've seen Bergkamp score some goals against us when he played for Ajax (Feyenoords mortal enemy). Bergkamp for me still is the best Dutch player I've ever watched, the only one who's actions can make me feel emotional and (have to admit) bring me to tears by it's sheer esthetics and creativity, And I've seen Cruijff/Van Basten/Rensenbrink et all.

@rareprisoner1678Dennis Bergkamp is my favorite player ever. Sad he made one big mistake: not joining FC Barcelona when he could (yes, Barça was also on the fight to signing him, you forgot this) and choosing Inter instead. At least he didn't choose Real Madrid. That would have been horrific. But playing for Barça he would have been even more of a legend than he obviously is.
