Fear and control issues are the cornerstone of human misbehavior. My opinion and lived experience. Once you realize and accept you arent in control of most anything and make peace, you can retrain your beliefs and brain. You are in control of your attitude. You are in control of which thoughts you choose to pay attention to. You can cultivate tools and skills to help yourself understand your brain and biology so as to have some sense you can control your own behavior. Learn to respond instead of react. Create your life around boundaries. This will be helpful. Take 100% responsibility for your life and dont ever give into some idea you are a victim. Work on becoming a conscious human being. Read “A New Earth”and books by other spiritual guides. Learn to feel secure alone. Read Brene Brown. These speaker on Mels channel is a great resource. Start reading. Listen. Listen. Listen. Put the work in. Commit to a path of learning, curiosity and no judging. Study Buddhism. Meditate. My point is, build your own toolbox.

Low grade anxiety is not the same as high anxiety. Like many things, its on a spectrum. I modulate my anxiety by carefully choosing my thoughts and the story I tell myself. Its important to curate a story wherein you dont scare yourself. Stop scaring yourself! You are the producer and director and star of your own movie. You are also the casting director and set designer. You are the script writer. So, if someone doesn’t belong on your set, or you miscast someone, fire them. If your set needs improvement, take steps. If you arent the star, make necessary scrip and casting changes. As the producer of your movie, you are the boss. You are the director so act accordingly. You get to write the , your story and edit it along the way. Make yourself the hero. This is how you gain some sense of control.

I am having one problem and I hope you guys will give me good advice .
The thing is i have fear of negative evaluation so much that it affects my life so much and I am very very self critical person. I am also highly self aware person so being aware of my own things makes me much more fearful or anxious in doing things and it is degrading my life and all my creativity, thinking has gone as if my brain got rotten, all i feel nowadays is stres , stress and fear and anxiety. I even don't initiate talking with people because I have inferiority complex and even if I try saying hello.. talking further seems hard to me. Sometimes i don't even have energy to talk to people or improve myself because I am already exhausted by these anxieties and the new environment I am in.
I don't know what to do? I am feeling strange state where I am not feeling calm or satisfied or something. I just want to feel relief.
My parents give me advices like any others to talk with people, make friends, eat healthy, sleep timely but I feel irritated listening to these advices whenever they call I talk in irritated or not interested manner and feel like cutting the call even if my parents are good and this makes me feel further negative of myself
Sometimes i observe that even if some person see me anxious or lonely whatsoever and try to talk or help me, I feel pathetic and i don't know why.. i feel like don't you dare see me like someone to pity

@annettejames5469I've had anxiety since childhood my parents were not aware of it to try and get me help I was shy when they would dress me nice cause the attention from other kids I was shy to stand up from a seat in crowded areas like school bus if the teacher calls me up to the front, through the years school was a challenge I wouldn't concentrate how I was supposed to so I struggled through school, today as a grown man I'm self conscious,judgemental ,moody due to ruminating thoughts,hyper observant,not fully focused during conversations and all this makes me an unhappy guy,too aware of the harsh realities of life ,its nuts the mind is a powerful thing. I wish i could just feel at ease my pets bring out the happiness in me,i sleep well though,Maybe it's generalized anxiety.
@guscruz5076I am an anxiety coach and everything he said I just gave a training with my group--change your relationship with anxiety. Stop seeing it as the enemy and see it as your friend. I tell my followers that I truly believe you struggle with anxiety because you don't understand it. You overreact to it. If you understood anxiety, you can change your relationship with it and break free from the grip it has on your life. I struggled for years and do not anymore. It is something I feel here and there but know exactly how to deal with it. God made your brain and wouldn't give you this emotion to harm you. Understand anxiety, and you will thrive as the doctor says. Not new news. But. it is good professionals like the doctor and I are bringing awareness to this. I overcame years ago and so can you.

@ValerieFiskI suffer from anxiety. I think I have to toughen up. I was good till I took on a lot of responsibilities. That’s my take. Could it be not having enough nutrients to support my body. HMmm
@vallang4832What happens if you are in partial control for example I have anxiety is around people who are working on my house not doing a good job and I can try and stay on top of them a ton which I do to make sure they do a good job so in a sense I sort of have control over that because if they don't do a good job I won't pay them but since I don't have control because they really don't do a good job I don't have full control over the outcome
