Hello everyone, well as future teachers, we must understand that uniqueness in education is essential because every student has different abilities, learning styles, and personal experiences. When teachers recognize these differences, they create more inclusive and meaningful learning environments. This not only improves academic performance but also helps students feel confident and valued. I believe education should be flexible instead of standardized, because not all students learn in the same way. Teachers can support uniqueness by using diverse strategies, promoting participation, and listening to students’ needs. By valuing individuality, education becomes more human and effective, allowing each learner to grow and reach their full potential.

Uniqueness in Education
All of us are able to learn! However, it is essential to recognise uniqueness while learning and teaching. In fact, each learner brings distinct experiences, abilities, and perspectives that shape how they understand and engage with knowledge. Bear in mind that these differences enhances teaching and learning by promoting inclusive practices, increasing students' motivation, and supporting deeper comprehension. When students feel valued, they are more likely to participate actively and develop confidence. Teachers can foster environments that respect individuality by using differentiated instruction, encouraging student voice, and creating flexible learning opportunities. Ultimately, valuing uniqueness not only improves academic outcomes but also nurtures empathy, respect, and a sense of belonging within the classroom.

What makes Teaching Great

Education is overrated if it only teaches you to memorize; real power comes from asking better questions, not filling in the bubbles.

I love how you broke down the science behind effective teaching it's eyeopening to see how small changes in methods can make such a big difference in student outcomes. Definitely trying that in my classroom!

If you search for didactic or teaching findings, you find close to nothing (that's good, true and up to date). This shows how (un)important teaching and learning is for humans.

Teaching is also recognized as a Soft skill; A skill some “teachers” lack while others discover their gift.

I've worked in schools helping teachers and have seen many teachers and aides who don't care, who give up. Then the kids give up. They get fed up with the kids and give up even more. So many teachers are angry and at that point believe that punishment is the answer, and it's not.

Kids are stuck in schools 6-8 hrs a day, mostly sitting. Of course they're going to get bored and find it difficult to learn. And if their teachers are not teaching them new behaviors, they're not going to understand what the teacher wants them to acheive. There are issues at home as well. Both parents and teachers fail children. Not one or the other. I think the children with the most success are those who have parents and teachers both doing the best for them and collaborating closely and effectively.

Hlo❤. I was a teacher for 32 years. I believe in teaching stuff so that the learner can explain it to me back in his simple words. So simplicity was my nr.1. Then 2. You have to be a great 'actor' to keep their attention.

@nelsonlaws5137

How do you excite students when teaching algebra, or Shakespeare? To me the curriculum must be carefully designed, and teaching methods specified, so I guess I'm suggesting that teachers should have restricted freedom, to stop the bad ones from screwing up.

Wrong. Children learn through relationship, this is known. you're misreading the data. The faux practices like door greeting, stories etc only work for highly social children, and bedtime. The real dividing line is amongst those with functional health and 1 to 1 teacher student interaction. You're NEVER going to find that in a public classroom, you'd be hard pressed to find that in super expensive private school, and what are video calls but the same relational disassociation. Sorry they're all piss poor.

Unless you're super rich, homeschool is the way to go for the vast majority of humans, even better in moderately large families where reciprocation *
can* be multiplied.

So GL with your science-y, communist approach failsauce methodologies.

The most difficult aspect of teaching is not about teaching itself, but discipline and that is obtained when parents get involved and principals punish bad behaviors.

This video pointed out that as future educators we must become an amazing teacher who is not just focused about delivering lessons, but about creating a learning process that is meaningful and engaging by connecting the lesson to real-life situations and letting the students take responsibility for their own learning, which may help them become independent and develop their critical thinking.
