1:17 If I were Alex, right here I would probably shout "I'M ON YOUR RIGHT - I'M ON YOUR RIGHT". He is overtaking a novice skier who doesn't know that someone else is approaching at high speed. You never know when another skier might suddenly decide to take a wide turn into your line - especially a novice like this one (although experienced skiers do it too, and it's very unwise). Shouting like this runs the risk of unnecessarily alarming the other skier, but I think that risk is worth it.

Nop, the speed on this is not right. I have skied at 80 KPH, and those 100 KPH are not even close to my 80 KPH recorded in my GoPro

c'est la piste noire la plus facile que j'ai faite , et il y a du plat a la fin, mais c'est une très belle piste, et tu la descend de façon rapide et souple, dommage qu'on te vois pas skier, après pour les vitesse indiqué, je pense qu'il y a 30 km/h en trop a peut prêt, mais c'est déjà une belle performance que de la faire sans pause, vive le ski <3

Yes, a downhill. Not black . Mowed, Maintained. Ski school teaching lines of stem christie. On little bitty short ballet skis. Vallee Blanche is barely a Black,, unless you ski it from the top, through the couloirs, no hiking. (I liked the no hiking part.) Ski the trees at Blackcomb. Ski the trees at Stowe. Even the Front 4 they water and mow these days. And for those skis,, had someone turned in front of you, both would have been dusted out. You paid your rescue insurance?

No matter all the expert comments this is still magnifique.

Seems like a strangely low standard of skiing from most of the people being overtaken. Is this a local ‘must do’ black run for beginners? Or maybe the good skiers have all chosen to ski a different run? Or maybe it is steeper/icier than it looks but doesn’t affect you because you are straight lining?

Just based on the slope characteristics (which u can broadly estimate based on how many turns others are putting in) of some of the bits he straight lined it doesn’t seem unreasonable that he would’ve hit 100kph in those stretches.

Also 100kph isn’t even that fast …

I ski since I was 4 years old and this definitely looks like 100kmh. It always looks slower on video.

Sehr gute Fahrt... Die die alle nicht sn die 110 kmh glauben ,haben bestimmt nicht mal über 50 gefahren... Meine maximale Geschwindigkeit laut gps ist 87 kmh füllt sich extrem schnell während der Fahrt, aber wenn ich filme sieht wie 30 aus.... Sehr gute piste,,, Top Schifahrer
