The explosive drama continues as Gordon is still in Los Angeles struggling to bring together the fragmented Saffron family and their failing restaurant, the Burger Kitchen. Last time, son Daniel nearly came to blows with the head chef, and Gordon was shocked to learn that dad Alan had taken from Daniel's inheritance, without his knowledge, to help fund the start-up of the restaurant.

For some context as to why Alan is the way he is, his father was a notorious gangster in Australia, might’ve even been the head of it but I don’t remember off the top of my head. So when Alan says his father wanted him to be in his business, that’s what he meant. I can imagine how having a father like that might result in a man like Alan was.

Daniel may be the normal one but he was wrong with the tickets. Chef David showed him 2x times that there were mistakes in the tickets and he wanted to yell and make himself the boss....

Burger Kitchen closed in February 2012, only a few months after the episodes aired. Alan changed Ramsay's improvements, customer complaints continued!!! Alan passed away in 2020, a self induced failure. Daniel married Wendy and started a family after the restaurant closed, and lived a better life without Alan. Jen is rumored to be miserable somewhere.

Founder Alan Saffron passed away in April 2020 following a heart attack. His son, Daniel (who briefly took over management before the closure), moved on from the restaurant industry and transitioned into a career in technology. Burger Kitchen permanently closed in February of 2012. Such a sad ending for a restaurant that never should have existed.

I absolutely love that David stood up for himself and his way of making food, then Gen was like “I don’t control David. How do I have that much power?” After LITERALLY just telling the whole restaurant that he changed the mushroom recipe? Like that’s the whole reason David was able to make his “Redemption Burger.” And that gag. PUH-LEASE. Soooo beyond full of it. 😭 25:35

@W.O.F.I.C.It was all blood money from the grandfather who was Australias worst crime king responsible for many murders. As for the inheritance, the son received 1 mill and Alan received 500k. The source of the money aside, Alans half sister eceived a lot more with 2 properties and a lifetime annuity of
1k a week. There would be some major underlying resentment forming Alans character snd actions.
