Even in my 30s. Married with kids. And actually served in the Marines. Once or twice a year, I play all 3 modern warfare campaigns back to back over 14 hours. Usually around my birthday, as it just brings back all the great memories. And every few years the highschool crew meets up and I bring these old cods + Black Ops for us to fire up and relive some great times.

There was a series of more modern war games in the 2000s; conflict desert storm. Also, Americas Army was out during that period. PC also had counter strike.

I love this video, but the MW3 section really weighs it down. I get that you don't like the action sequences, but it really ruins the pacing of the video when you stop and complain about the same thing over and over again. It really only needs one mention. You don't have to bring it up every time.

Also Price is not dead at the end of MW3. Why are you just presenting a headcanon as fact? It honestly took me by surprise. The implication is clearly that Price survives all of this. He wins. At great cost, but he wins.

If I remember correctly, the original writer who wrote the first two Modern Warfare stories was fired right after MW2 came out, so when MW3 was in development they had a new writer & kinda just make a decent story/conclusion of the series with what it had built upon over the years. So that kinda explains why MW3 is the way that it is & feels a bit off from the other 2 previous game, It makes me wonder how the MW3 story would’ve been if they didn’t fire the original writer. But I mean hey Sledgehammer & Infinityward did a decent job ending the trilogy with what they had.

Also, the no Russian mission literally makes no sense in terms of realism. First of all; there are security cameras all over the airport, wouldn't they have seen who was REALLY behind the attack? Second; well, actman has a video on this which contradicts what the news media said about how violent it was upon release.

In the cliffhanger mission, I have started to wait until the Russian major counts down to 1, and then detonate. All for dramatic effect.

I know this video was posted a year ago but growing up I had MW3 on the WII and it was horrible.

The ONE detail I play the original COD4 for, instead of the remaster, one shot one kill, is that when you pass the fire barrel when you're moving towards the apartments, when Macmillan first gets hit by the helicopter, in the original, you can see the shadows of the people running towards you on the wall, and in the remaster, this doesn't happen, MASSIVE downgrade to the feeling of being helplessly outnumbered and hunted in my opinion, and a huge mistake on the part of whoever removed/failed to preserve it

One thing I’d like to point out is in “Of Their Own Accord” is if you FAIL to use the javelin, the evac operator gets more and more panicked as he relays the evac center is getting hammered, with him shouting, yelling then screaming the rapidly falling % combat effectiveness.

And sure it’s a bit cheesy but the panic creeping into his voice as his desperation grows, and eventually him outright screaming “WE ARE 0% COMBAT EFFECTIVE, ENEMY HAS BREACHED THE EVAC CENTER. WE LOST THE CIVVIES, NOOOOOO” before assumedly dying

Im pretty sure the missile Price shot in MW2 was actually a nuke, but when you detonate a nuke in space it acts more like a wide spread EMP blast rather than just pure destruction. However it's been many years since I've played any of these and im not a physicist so I could be super wrong. Either way love the vid and hoping you do a similar one for the Black Ops series!
