Thanks a lot! The Cardboard and the Kanban plugins are not maintained anymore it seems. But thankfully, using just the tasks plugin already makes it so much easier to manage the lists with the auto sorting.

Simple solution: Todoist free for small to medium project management. Obsidian for library of notes, knowledge. Big projects? Split them into smaller ones and still use todoist. Use GTD system in Todoist.

The key is to keep it simple bros. If you have to mod a tool to work, it is not right tool for the job. Dont bother. Select other tools. This todoist and Obsidian combo is perfect for me.

This is exactly what I need to convert my current chaos - house full of boxes and bags - into an organized home. And to keep it that way. So many thanks! This will save my sanity. I was becoming very overwhelmed.

Can the task move automatically to Completed board if checked off?

Gangster video, bro. Wow. Thank you! I'm new to Obsidian and it seems like a hell of a lot of work to get just right, versus something prebaked like Amplenote, but the customizability is amazing. I usually prefer a task management setup that looks like the old-school Franklin Covey Daily Prioritized Task List (ABC/123), and that should be easy enough to do with what you just showed in the video. I like that Obsidian encourages critical thinking, as the customization process is great exercise. Thanks again!

I have a note with dates as Heading2 or Heading3 and tasks listed underneath... and I use transclusion / dataview to see those tasks in my daily notes / my dashboard note. If it is an elaborate task related to a project then the task is a link to a note which has details of the project in it.
I also create tasks inside my daily notes and use dataview/ transclusion to view them on my dashboard note.
99% of the stuff is just simple... native transclusion... I use dataview to query notes only and only when I need notes from a specific tag.

I have tried many plugins and this system is as minimal as it gets... Of course I understand that people have different needs..

This is a nice intro video. I have used Obsidian and the Tasks plugin for awhile but I just recently added the Kanban plugin as well. Very interested to learn more about how you use them together. Especially with due dates. Thanks!

I tried few things. But was too messy for my taste. Moved to Todoist and embed Todoist sync in different relevant places with needed filters. Including the daily notes.

It was so much better. Way less maintenance.

I've been a bad Omnifocus user for over 10 years. I spend all this time building a beautiful set of next actions and projects, then I get overwhelmed, constantly procrastinate looking at my task list, and then it becomes stale. With Obsidian, I can keep my personal project management next to where I'm capture information. The tasks plug-in is great because I can create a backlink to a person note. That way when I'm speaking to that person I can see all the tasks associated with them. I do the same thing with projects when an effort is complicated enough to warrant its own note.

I love Obsidian. I'm in it probably daily. I have yet to handle task management though. I'm still in Apple Reminders or Things 3. Both of those apps allow me to snooze a reminder if I can't jump on it right away. That snooze feature along is keeping me form switching over to Obsidian.
