There's a sheik in Dubai who just got into a massive oil tanker deal. I wonder what he feels.

As long as the US and its allies use sanctions an a weapon of imperialism, the "shadow fleet" is entirely justified in rejecting their claims to authority.

Oil goes far beyond being a simple resource—it influences geopolitics, economies, and the balance of global power. Shifts in output or prices cascade through industries and across borders. Grasping the role of oil is key to understanding how the modern world operates.

So, are you suggesting that sanctions don't work? You seem to be skirting and vaguely suggesting it... 😂😂😂

Paying to give away oil !

@sergeharrison5804

It should be criminal to dump an irreplacable commodity like crude oil into the sea, regardless or the circumstances or economics

What a great and complete video

Is this fucking channel against shipping industry.......... I haven't a positive video about shipping industry. Peace off, unsubscribing.

@ethanpavel1486
@

Are you looking to invest? Is that why there's such an egregious amount of ads?

@louisd1a
@

The list of largest shipping companies vs. oil tanker companies was interesting because I've heard of all the shipping companies and absolutely none of the tanker companies.

@Rubycon99
@

passed from 140 ships a year to just seven because oil that need to sold legally at really low capped prices under sactions goes on shadow fleets to be sold at full market price aka shadow tankers that needs to go be scrapped and not being timebombs, and inda now how gets parts of it's steel if a part comes from recyclable from broken down ships? rus and iran are forcing india to buy steel because they need to thing their illegal tings (nukes in violation of the NPT for iran and war in ucraine for russia) going thus using shadow fleets to supply oil, is cheaper for china importing russian oil at 47 dollars a barrel legally that 90 a barrel illegally trough shadow tankers.

Broken economics everywhere. Never running out of topics.

The Oil must flow.... 🙏🙏🙏

@RichardKing-sx6xc

The tankers are not called container ships. Otherwise they would have containers on bord. 😅👌🏻 02:15

muy buena explicacion de como funcionan los barcos petroleros

@CesarArmandoVillasenorSaldana

This is nothing new. Chartering tankers for short to medium storage is nothing new. Can be cheaper than on shore storage. Pipeline routes are pretty limited really compared to the versatility of shipping.

@eddiewatts7792
@

There’s multiple shots in this video where you aren’t even showing oil tankers, or just flatout calling them containerships.

@jakebrod7
@

You didn’t go into details about why stopping the boat when oil was negative worked?

@scottschweigert1657

I'm actually onboard a sister ship of the Caribbean Glory named Gulf Sunrise while watching this video 😂

Everytime I hear "Russian shadow fleet' in a YouTube video, that Channel loses all credibility.

@TheGalahad78

I don't believe for a second that we CAN'T enforce the sanctions. We just don't have the guts to.

@themattenthehat

Container ships carry containers, not oil. Tankers, or super tankers carry oil

For marine insurance Oslo is an important hub. More important than Zurich.

Sorry but you are wrong. Cheap labor was the reason shipping moved there and stayed, coupled with the US government pushing it. The same reason semiconductor manufacturing left and stayed there. This destroyed whole citues and the labor left, Democrat party operatives took over and ran the shipbuilding cities into the ground. No one wants to live or work in.places like Philidelphia, Detroit or Baltimore. Globalism is dead anyway. American industries and businesses have turned to many other things. Lastly, all three nations have governments which heavily subsidize shipbuilding. Just like many of the trade tarrif they are designed to undermine.

@aBRUSHforCONFUCIUS
@

Are oil tankers also needed because grades of crude oil are in the wrong place? Or is it just refined oil that is shipped to where it is needed?

@stevo728822
@

So is the world's oil tanker fleet gradually shrinking?

@stevo728822
@

Some undeniable parallels here with illicit drug trade!

@dyzoly1335
@

I think you have to include the commodity traders in this, based in Geneva, Rotterdam and offices in countries with a lot 'legal flexability' they know exactly what is going on. they bet on prices going up or down then they finance these independent ship owners, they finance those new insurance businesses , who knows they might finance those disruptions and t3err0r-ist organisations to profit from them when they know they have all the cards, the risk is ultimately passed down to the consumers.

@laurensrodi9501
@

tanker owners most certainly do not live onboard the ship with the crew

Why is Omaha one of the leading shipping insurance providers? It's land locked

Keep this as a rule as I’m from Norway. Norways wealthiest man as well as he is one of the worlds richest men, John Fredriksen is the king of oil and tankers.
The rule is; whenever he does something, everyone follows. He knows something that most people don’t. Whenever he does something silly, like buying a specific ship or sells of certain ships u know that he knows something. He’s the one that has fully control in this industry.
He’s not only a great businessman, but he’s 80+ and still working. He will probably die working. He loves the job.

And he’s rarely in media, he has no degree other than high school and came from a middle class family. Worked himself up as mail boy on the harbor of Oslo and got higher and higher. He’s a big risk taker.
His “biggest” education he said was when he went to Lebanon at a young age. His tip is to get out as fast as possible. Talk about education of life. 🤔

@nakusahs
@

it might be more profitable for intermediaries, but it does mean the sanctioned country loses revenue because they have to sell their oil at a deep discount

@louisazraels7072
@

So what you are telling me is that the global oil price was negative while my pump gas was simultaneously higher than it had ever been? Makes sense
