The Blood of Dawnwalker: 8 Minutes of Quest Gameplay | IGN First
Video Overview & Insights
Ready your silver blades and holy water because July’s IGN First is The Blood of Dawnwalker. This upcoming RPG from developer Rebel Wolves casts you as Coen, a cursed man who must live as a human by day and a vampire by night. Mastering both sides of his existence is the key to saving his family from a court of evil bloodsuckers.
really cool, but it doesnt look like aaa game, more like aa, so the price is a bit too high
To kick off our month of exclusive content, we bring you brand new gameplay from one of The Blood of Dawnwalker’s prologue quests. In Deep Down, a young Coen - not yet afflicted by the vampirism curse - explores an underground ruin in search of Lazar, a local man who’s gone missing. In the depths of the caves he finds much more than just a lost man. By examining an ancient mural, Coen learns of old heroes and hidden treasure.
This walking sim part with constant clicking X button is extremely boring
This eight-minute The Blood of the Dawnwalker gameplay video showcases a few elements, including an investigation system that allows you to discover hidden lore and reveal the existence of special loot. And, of course, there’s swordplay – the video concludes with a swift boss fight against The Forgotten Guardian.
Exclusive gameplay XD 😅😅😅

the voice acting is a bit disappointing..

Thanks for helping me to fall asleep!
@ChriskrossMKFire the marketer! I've changed my mind about buying!
@SlareignGamesThat fire on the torch looks TERRIBLE
@valco1619Looks Great
@RAZAzGAMINGSadly, it is not 2015 anymore. The Witcher 3 formula has been fucked to death. Walking, talking and pressing X doesn't do it anymore for me. Huge disappointment.
@kier6769That movement "get behind me" was absolutely awful. They need to fix that before release. Also this character seems to have no real character to him. Just dead pan. Not sure this game is going to do very well.
@joshuastephens392670$ - NO!
27$ - YES!
Gameplay on 7:30.)
How did this gameplay come out on time, if I was worried earlier, now I definitely won't take the game and I'll spend more time on Onimusha
@StefanMelchiottDude is screaming ouch while knowing there's something down there, but then Coen tells him to hush? Bit too late for that lol.
@CrystallineLoreThe poor NPC even screams: "Enough. Let's go, please!" XD
@matezsuberats5281You guys are so spoiled. Like my God, does everything need to perfectly suit your needs and expectations in order for you to enjoy it? Literal children.
@ilaughyoulose2357The ads are ridiculous! For almost a decade I visited IGN at least once a day, but over the last 3 months if I visit once a week that's a lot. Today I noticed that it had been 12 days since the last time I searched for "IGN". Between the ads run every 90 seconds during a video, and the full "free to play" commercials they masquerade as content, I have no need to visit this channel. I had you scroll so far back to find something interesting I ran into the last video I watched 12 days ago before finding something worthwhile.
@MatthewMorris-q3rAnimations look very choppy
@Andrii311this game looks rough
@TheF174After this no Im not buying
@playstation0002Idk but Witcher 3 looking more fluid than this combat mechanics
@zibroplaysits basically witcher 3 with vampires...0 graphical improvements, bit disappointing ngl
@WunderwutzlOk this was NOT a good idea and totally a hype killer, but i'm gonna keep my reservation. Had I seen a gameplay from The Witcher 1, I never would have bought it... and I love that game so much still to this day
@luiscamacho2862Lazar giving Johnny Vegas vibes 😅
@melkhior9897Id cut the companions lines down he had something to say every 10 seconds got annoying. Plus ancient legendary boss was dead in less than 10 sec. 1. She better drop the helm that looked awesome. 2. Difficulty has gotta be increased (or maybe they dumbed it down for ign 😂) 3. wouldve been nice to see that torch burn the webs as he walked past them. 4. The tomb needed raided.
@catalystzer0344I like the part where the guy walked around for a loooooong tiiiiiime
@slatibardfastWell.... I was beating myself up for deciding against the collector's edition... but after seeing this..... I went ahead and happily refunded my copy from Steam.... This video alone has completely destroyed the game for me and I want my 8 minutes of my life back.
@Heartkiller1991The 2D fire on the torch is catching me off guard
@patrykmalcherWas looking forward to buying this game. Now the hype is officially dead.
@WINSTONMOORE-v6yLooks terrible, well done
@Alessandro-SimpleGamingThis game looks worse the closer it gets to release lol.
@tyler-hp7oq8 Minutes Gameplay. 6 mins for looking at Pictures on the wall, 2 for Looting and Look at footprints. Never Seen that before. 😂
@kevinstrametz1990What is that combat lmao. I don't expect Fromsoft level of difficulty but come on lol.
@Maitredebo2Well I know what game I’m not buying
@A1kterryI don't really need to push button to understand the story on the wall. I am kinda worried this game is going to be way too hand holding to be memorable or even fun. They also got rid of the directional combat by the looks of things which is just another feature watered down for exposure. Like the developers lost confidence and made the game hyper accessible for people rather then taking a risk and being more unique
@BIGRED4750/50, i don't think it's can be priced for 70$... 30 is max... UE5 = 💩
@Evil_Polski_HusarzGod why are people so miserable
@deathGod252Ngl Everything about this looked rough, even the dialogue. The writing especially seemed rough here.
@astrojeeti just want to play more witcher iii so i really have no problem with this gameplay. this is literally just an average witcher iii quest. calm down everybody.
@johnnydangerously8782knew it was gonna be ass from the first reveal. i know capcom saw this and changed their release date for onimusha to the day after this drops cuz they know this is gonna flop
@nextgenjahlol it's literally just the witcher 3 but vampires(yes I know witcher has vampires)
@sloth321I can't wait for this game!
@ohiostatebuck33The fire look like nintendo 64
@Iionpeach70$ for this game is not a good idea my friend
@nasimacdnanovic11962026 and we still getting games like this 🙄
@thegreenguy3030Please Mack the learning skills of Coen no story Time cost I want to be absolute power house ❤
@cosmicmindpowerlifeforce840The combat looks downgraded compared to Witcher 3
@KingGoblin-XIWent from my most anticipated to most disappointing. This looks bad.
@1ion813looks like shit. it's funny how the torch does not do anything. the way dude waited for 5 seconds doing nothing while the enemy was stunned is hilarious.
@jadejade2695Oh, dear.... repeating dialogue just 30 seconds in..... "Ouch.... ow... ah.... ah....". Is that really the best you could do?
@DmonHiroThe more material that appears, the more I'm convinced that not pre-ordering was a very good decision. The game looks like The Witcher 3, only with slightly improved graphics. Wooden combat, strange, unnatural character movements, repetitive environments with copy-and-paste details (those stalactites, etc., look identical), and that fire...
It's 2026, and marketing like "a game by the people who worked on The Witcher and Cyberpunk" won't help anymore – certainly not after this gameplay.
