I'm 72 and this song and solo still puts a lump in my throat and gives me chills. I can only think of one other guitar player from the 70's that played with as much emotion and feel from the heart as David Gilmour. When a man can make a guitar cry like this one, he is in a league of his own! Long Live Pink Floyd!

Every single part of my life so far, they have been there.
I'm slowly getting into audio (money is a limiter), and I have experienced Gilmour differently, he is a true gentleman when it comes to playing, he does not need to show off, knows exactly when to stop, creates drama then BAM! Right what you wanted without knowing.
Led Zep is much different, aggresive, loud, repetitive. Not bad, but too different.
I've dedicated much more guitar playing by myself with Led Zep songs, but last plus year, its been only Gilmour, it is such a out of body experience to learn his tricks, his INSANE tones and spirit.
Page showed me aggressiveness with being sloppy but being very fun.
Stevie Ray Vaughan showed me extreme fast skill and rhythm, complex and yet simple blues.
Gilmour showed me the meaning behind connecting with the instrument, waiting, creating expectations and completely throwing people off with much better to what they had in mind would happen next.
A Master of his Craft!❤
